Cletus' First Collegiate Dictionary of Japanese Chin Music

puchi-iede

Petite runaway, a hybrid of French and Japanese. Refers to young schoolgirls who leave home for days at a time with the intention of eventually returning. Sometimes they are said to sell their bodies to make money for shopping. This is the kind of thing news organizations salivate over.

Yet the stories are almost always anecdotal. Somehow they can figure out how many foreigners committed crimes on any given week in Japan, but they can’t tell us how many of their daughters turn tricks for Louis Vuitton bags! I mean, what is going on here?!!! (Chin Music Press team intervenes, slapping writer across the face several times, screaming, “Get a grip, man, get a grip!! It’s over now. You’re in the United States of America.”) Sorry … I apologize. Just another flashback.
