Kelp, I need somebody
Life in the USAmericans crack me up.
A man named Scott Kennedy was on an infomercial the other day lambasting the American medical-pharmaceutical cartel for its real lack of interest in public health and merely pushing drugs on people. He hailed the Japanese for their great diet containing seaweed, insisting that Americans should emulate the Japanese and include seaweed in their diet, too. Then, he pushed a product called Sea Vegg, a diet supplement that contains compounds found in the sea ďż˝ mainly kelp. I sympathize with his views, but I'm quite sure I was not the only one to see the irony in calling granulated and encapsulated seaweed health food. Only in America.
I haven't seen the infomercial but today I was told about it from a friend.
Sea vegetables are big in the Asian Pacific, particularly Korea. We have a local restaurant in Clute, TX (Seafood by Joy) that serves a delicious yet very healthful seaweed soup. They are gearing up to start serving a number of other seaweed dishes soon. I heard about them from a customer who claims it did her some real good.
Probably the best sea-based vegetable product that is really new in the marketplace is one that capitalizes on the astounding immune-boosting component called fucoidan of which there are over 600 unsolicited studies and counting that date back to the mid 1970's in the website for the National Library of Medicine, www.pubmed.gov . This fucoidan substance comes from the cell walls of only sea-based plants and exhibits, according to the studies, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflamatory, anti-tumor and anti-cancer properties besides a number of other beneficial characteristics.
The product is the culmination of over 15 years of research and development by specialists in plant extractions. The sea vegetable from which the extract is derived is Limu Moui harvested in the unpolluted waters of the South Pacific islands known as the Tongan Islands where there is no industry or mass agriculture to pollute the waters. Consequently, heavy metals like mercury are no problem and yet all the minerals of the ocean, unlike the vegetables coming from the mineral-depleted commercial land-based vegetables, are found in this seaweed, even trace metals of which we may not yet know are valuable to our health. And, unlike Sea Vegg, this proprietary extract comes in a bioavailable liquid formulation unlike so many capsules of dry powders that haven't near the bioavailability and certainly nothing of the fucoidan content as the Limu Moui extract and, in so many cases, simply go through the body undissolved down the plumbing of your house.
The proof is in the pudding. I have been consuming the extract for the last two years with remarkable results: improved sinuses and allergies and asthma, improved and moisturized skin (applied internally but also useful externally), improved general vitality, elimination of a throbbing pain in the right arm due to cervical pinching of the spinal cord due to arthritic activity, and more. Others have observed tremendous improvement in autoimmune diseases like lupus, fibromyalgia, and multiple sclerosis. Blood sugar, cholesterol, thinness, and pressure improvements have been observed by many with this simple nutrition product. There are a number of reports from individuals with cancer with outstanding results. The product simply supercharges the body’s own ability to heal itself.
More information about the product can be found at www.limunight.originallimu.com . Email at tfbail@sbcglobal.net; phone at 979-297-1919. I can tell you this much that most people who start taking this Limu Moui extract are no longer having trouble sleeping and are getting up with more energy to burn than they have had in years. So, go to the website, get some and then have sweet dreams and incredible health and a new vigor for life and let your late night infomercials become a thing of the past! If you need more information, you can contact me and I will direct you according to your needs.

I bought the Sea Vegg Product that was on a informercial. I will let you know how I feel about it in a few weeks. Has anyone been using it? I ordered from this nutrition company called CalComp Nutrition. I recevied it in 3 days! The infomercial doesn't even ship it for 3 weeks. Here is the link if you are intrested for the company. www.calcompnutrition.com/sea-vegg.html

Are you guys actually reading the entry here? Are you human? Can't you see the writer doesn't care whether your little seaweed pills work for you? Do you live in an irony-free zone? The tide is turning against people like you sincerely shilling crap to the masses to make a cheap buck or believing that shit will make your life better. You should both be stranded on an island with Scott Kennedy and be forced to listen to him sell you his little seaweed pills for eternity. How about just eating some nori with your rice, guys?
PS Scott Kennedy doesn't look all that healthy to me...
Bruce Rutledge at May 1, 2005 09:37 PM
Scott Kennedy said that the best way to get these healthy benefits is "to include seaweed in our diets", (paraphrasing now)however in America we happen to be pill and drug driven and the best way to encourage us to do this is in the capsulated form.(his product is expensive so he is definately a capitalist... aren't we all?) We are a society who pops pills for health. I believe I heard him say he is 62 if this is the case he looks very healthy. He has obviously seen the benefits of this vegatable and has turned it into a marketable product. Nothing wrong w/that!

You said, "We are a society who pops pills for health." Do you know how stupid that sounds? Maybe that's why we're so unhealthy. We're fat, we eat crap, and then we pop a seaweed pill to make up for it. And, we can't spell, can we? You guys creep me out. Is this like Heaven's Gate? If 62-year-old Scott Kennedy gave you grape Kool-Aid, would you drink it? And anyone reading this should really check out Scott Kennedy: http://www.calcompnutrition.com/sea-vegg.html
He doesn't look healthy for 62. He doesn't look healthy for 22. He looks like what he is: a pill-pusher.
Bruce Rutledge at May 2, 2005 07:39 AM
Excuse me. I have misspoken. I should have said, "Scott Kennedy doesn't look healthy for 62. He doesn't look healthy for 82. He looks like what he is: a pill pusher." There, that's better.
Bruce Rutledge at May 2, 2005 08:35 AM
Finally, I have had a chance to view almost the whole 30 minute infomercial about Sea Vegg. Scott Kennedy states that he is 48 years of age, not 62, and has been studying seaweed nutrition for 21 years, that is since he was 27.
Yes, what Scott Kennedy has to say about health coming from the sea is right on target. Nevertheless, his Sea Vegg is a mediocre product, simply ground up seaweed from some 12 to 20 (?) different seaweed varieties. But that sells to the mentality of Americans thinking that variety is so important.
There is tremendous advantage in concentration, however, as noted by the value of Barley Green and Wheat Grass concentrate products. Eating Sea Vegg in that tiny little capsule is like eating a few blades of barley or wheat grass, albeit far more concentrated in its nutrient content, but still nothing like the concentrated form of Barley Green or Wheat Grass concentrate products.
I posted first here about Original Limu that is derived from the seaweed Limu Moui with one of the highest concentrations of the key component, fucoidan, which is under exciting and highly active research as indicated in the National Library of Medicine database at www.pubmed.gov.
Original Limu also is not just some chopped up dry seaweed like Sea Vegg. Over 15 years of research and development went into the non-chemical extraction process that led to this incredible new nutrition product, Original Limu. All other start up companies like Sea Vegg are just trying to jump on the band wagon that has been started by Original Limu which is the one, the only and the original. One should not waste his money on cheap hype! Get the real thing.
I have been taking Original Limu for two years now. After a year, being a Ph.D. organic chemist, I decided to run an experiment. I stopped taking Original Limu for three weeks. No real change was observed after the first week. During the second week, my sinuses and my flaky skin condition started flaring up again. Finally, in the third week my sinuses got so bad that I decided to start taking Original Limu again. I had detected what I thought was a phantom pain in my right arm again. Even after starting back up on Original Limu, that pain actually materialized horribly again keeping me from sleeping and throbbing during the day. Then, as when I first started taking Original Limu, after 8 to 10 weeks, I woke up and could do nothing to cause the pain to return and have not had any pain since then. The pain was something for which I had had unsuccessful surgery due to a pinched spinal cord in the 3rd to 5th cervical vertebrae.
Original Limu has given me my life back. I shared it with a woman with MS and she has now thrown her cane away and she has her life back again. There are others with autoimmune diseases like fibromyalgia, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, and others whose lives have done a complete turnabout from drinking Original Limu with fucoidan. I shared it with a woman with severe scarring from adolescent acne and after six months of Original Limu, her scarring is now hardly perceptible. My two teenage sons get relief from aggressive acne from Original Limu. People with cancer and tumors are reporting spectacular results. Thyroid problems and blood sugar, blood cholesterol, blood pressure and blood thickness problems are being reported far and wide. Good reports are coming in regarding allergies, asthma, carpel tunnel syndrome, migraines, insomnia, chronic fatigue, depression, bipolar condition, autism, muscular dystrophy, sickle cell anemia, etc. And, people like me with pain from arthritic build up are getting relief.
To me, Original Limu is the ultimate seaweed product with 15 years in its development. It simply works by providing the body with the nutrition it needs to heal itself. Actually, that is all medicine is suppose to be according to the Father of Modern Medicine, Hippocrates. He says let food be your medicine and medicine be your food. You don't need to see a doctor for a cut on your finger to heal itself. Doctors are suppose to help us by helping our bodies to heal themselves. I have noticed that little cuts and scraps I get now heal two to three times faster than before my Original Limu days.
It is my passion to share this amazing product with the world as fast as I can. Can you imagine the reduced insurance premiums and the end of politics by scaring people about their health issues? Also, think of how much more productive our country would be if people were healthy and therefore also happy. We have been a sick, sick land for far too long now. We can no longer afford remaining so sick for both financial and emotional reasons.
Again, I am here to serve you at www.limunight.originallimu.com or tfbail@sbcglobal.net or 979-297-1919. There is also a helpful information line at 866-852-4832 where you can also place an order using the referral ID number 1388001. Be blessed!

The infomercial by Scott Kennedy is a powerful and much needed teaching on the airways of the spectacular nutritional value of seaweed. The Sea Vegg that Scott Kennedy promotes in the infomercial, however, as Scott Kennedy himself explains in the infomercial, is nothing more than an assortment of 12 different dried seaweeds in a capsule.
If one can buy fresh seaweed at a health food store such as Whole Foods, why would he want to waste his money on a tiny capsule of dried up seaweed known as Sea Vegg as recommended by Scott Kennedy in his infomercial. Nevertheless, even that small amount of seaweed still has some value as well as fresh seaweed but neither comes even close to the ultimate natural product, Original Limu (www.limunight.originallimu.com). Rita Elkins, a prolific author on natural health products, has written an excellent booklet, Limu Moui, that has sold well into the millions and is available in health food stores, where she recommends an extract (page 26) of the seaweed Limu Moui, which possesses (page 10) “one of the highest fucoidan contents when compared to other marine algae.” And, of course, the optimal non-chemical natural extract formulation is Original Limu.
Fucoidan is found only in sea-based plants. Besides all the other tremendous nutritious components in Limu Moui including vitamins, amino acids, essential fatty acids, anti-oxidants, glyconutrients, live enzymes, and particularly the whole spectrum of minerals and trace elements in colloidal form found in the sea which our blood emulates, and still others, the fucoidan in Limu Moui stands out as perhaps the greatest nutrient and immune booster ever discovered. The scientific and medical establishment is taking an ever greater interest as well as the studies on fucoidan have been growing exponentially since the mid-1970’s in the database of the National Library of Medicine at www.pubmed.gov. Anyone can go to this database and search the word fucoidan and turn up now over 600 studies and can narrow those studies to issues of interest simply by adding an additional word or more like cancer or tumor or tumors or carcinogen or carcinoma, immune, blood or platelets or leukocyte, inflammation or inflammatory, liver or hepatitis, lung or pulmonary, heart or cardiovascular, pancreatic or diabetes or insulin, virus or viral, bacteria or bacterial, wound or wounds, surgery, skin or dermatitis or dermal, etc.
So why is Original Limu (www.limunight.originallimu.com) the best source of this Limu Moui extract? It is for very good reason that Original Limu is called the one, the only, the original! It is the only proprietary non-chemical optimized extract on the market with proven value having over 15 years of research and development supporting it. It is also harvested from the pristine pure waters of the Tongan Islands of the South Pacific where there are no pollutants or heavy metals contaminating the water due to industry or large-scale agriculture. On the contrary, Scott Kennedy explained that the Sea Vegg was harvested in the North Atlantic as I remember.
All the other seaweed products, like Sea Vegg, that seem to be multiplying monthly, are just trying to jockey for position for attracting the uninformed. And, what a shame that people will be side-tracked from what looks to be the greatest health discovery of our time, Original Limu. Our wretched Western diet polluted with preservatives and additives and sugar substitutes, etc. and our society’s one-dimensional focus on the economics of food distribution such as shelf life and premature harvesting almost totally eclipses any nutritional focus. Also, our Western culture almost single-mindedly focuses on medicine that almost exclusively treats only the symptom and not the basis or underlying cause of a disease. With this in mind, Original Limu is, in all reality, a Godsend for our nation and a world that we Westerners have infected with our poor nutritional and pill-pushing culture.
Our bodies were designed for a particular kind of care including good, wholesome and complete foods and such is available in spades through Original Limu. If we feed the body what it needs, it can regulate its chemical machinery and heals itself as it was designed to do as evidenced by cut on our finger healing itself or our overcoming a cold or flu with just rest and plenty of water. In fact, that is what medicine is suppose to be all about, helping the body heal itself! Hippocrates is the Father of Modern Day Medicine with all doctors having to take the Hippocratic oath. Hippocrates says “Let food be your medicine and your medicine be your food.” Our Western diet miserably misses the mark! And in spite of his cautioning, “Above all, do no harm,” we poison ourselves with the often-horrendous side effects of man-made medicines that are promoted shamelessly on the airways by the pharmaceutical companies hoping that they can make the advertising enticement so powerful that people will in essence self-prescribe by going doctor shopping until they get what was promoted to them over the airways.
Regarding comments about Dr. Strand and his recommendation of the USANA supplements, I respect him as a doctor for his nutritional perspective and I have personally tried USANA supplements and found them valuable but nothing like Original Limu. USANA supplements are a product of man and his science; Original Limu is a natural product from the Creator, who has the full picture of our needs and the exact amounts needed. I have also tried natural products like Barley Green or Barley Life also with some value but again nothing like Original Limu. I have shopped for organic foods but they are nothing next to Original Limu. I have heard of Noni and Mangosteen and green teas, etc. None of these are sea-based natural products and, thus, none of them have the whole spectrum of minerals and trace elements nor, most importantly, do they contain fucoidan and none of them hold a candle to Original Limu. Nothing in the health and wellness industry compares to Original Limu outside of good health practices like good nutrition, plenty of rest, plenty of exercise, plenty of pure water and fresh air drawn deeply into the lungs, sunshine, temperance and trust in God.
Now, I rarely take anything else but Original Limu and save a bundle of money and experience incredible, even miraculous health as in the case of the throbbing pain in my right arm disappearing where decompression with fusing surgery on my 3-5th cervical vertebrae was unsuccessful. My skin is vibrant and no longer a flaky mess. My sinuses and asthma are back under control. I sleep much better. I have more energy. Even my toe and finger nails are supple and healthy again. And, if ever I do come down with something by pushing myself too hard, the immune-boosting anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory functions of the fucoidan gets me over it in a day or two without my ever having to see a doctor or get an anti-inflammatory and antibiotic. The savings alone in doctor bills and supplement costs easily pays for my Original Limu. Anyway, I simply cannot live without Original Limu!
Email me at tfbail@sbcglobal.net or call me at 979-297-1919 and I will tell you of more stories I know about first hand, even of those with whom I have shared first-hand myself as with my son with acne and ADD / ADHD, a friend with multiple sclerosis and also a hypothyroid condition, another friend with hepatitis C, another with high cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL/HLDL ratio, another with migraine headaches, another with sinus headaches, another with chronic fatigue, another with an open wound in his leg for over 20 years without healing, another with scar tissue from adolescent acne fading away in her mid forties, another person experiencing her tumors and cancer receding and disappearing, another being better able to cope with chemotherapy and radiation treatment, another coming back from short-term memory loss and dementia, another with disabilities from two car accidents involving drunk drivers and high blood pressure and high blood sugar, and the stories keep unfolding daily and I haven’t even mentioned the many stories of other people outside those with whom I have personally shared Original Limu. We now have a physician in our area who is directing his patients to Original Limu as he sees the hopelessness of the over-medication that Western medication has to offer as in the case of one medication being prescribed merely to mitigate the side effects of another medication!
I will conclude by making it clear that I am not a medical doctor. I only hold a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry and have been in active personal study of the health and wellness industry since 1997 when I was getting sick more often and required an anti-inflammatory in order for prescribed antibiotics to work. Thus, I do not or will not prescribe, treat, diagnose in regards to any disease or condition. Original Limu is simply a natural and spectacularly nutritious food by which the body can perform optimally in healing itself. That "original Limu product is ridiculously expensive. The Sea vegg isn't cheap either. How about someone telling us about a reasonably priced product hat gives us the same benefits?

Gee whiz!!! I'm beginning to think Thorp is a pseudonym for Scott Kennedy!! Despite Kennedy's claims that the government doesn't want you to know about the magic of seaweed, there is a voluminous amount of info dating back a hundred years! If this stuff really worked, it would be well established by now, like aspirin. C'mon people, put down the snake oil- it's fogging your brains.

I am a 15 year old American, and I am actually watching Scott Kennedy on a talk show right now! I agree, he cracks me up too. So I decided to find an article about these seaweed pills, and stumbled across this site. But I don't think his whole idea is half bad. Instead of seaweed pills, we could just add seaweed in our diets, like ACTUAL food and not pills. Americans do eat a lot of junk food though. I just got a little agrivated when he kept talking about the medical community and how they do not promote public health and are pushing drugs upon Americans, whatever! The medical community has performed miracles for us! Of course, they get carried away sometimes and make things such as pills that "help us lose weight." This shows how lazy we can be. Instead of making all these encapsolated solutions, why don't we just change our diets? If seaweed really is as beneficial as Scott Kennedy says, wouldn't we have known about it earlier? People just need to change their diets! EVERY vegetable is beneficial, most Americans just aren't attracted to them. I bet buying veggies and eating salads everyday is much cheaper then buying those Sea Vegg pills. I probably sound pretty immature, but I just wanted to inform you that most Americans do not see "pills" as a health food. Well at least I don't.

Original Limu – Nutrition vs Medication
I am convinced personally now after two years of experience and study that what is said in large by Scott Kennedy in the infomercial for Sea Vegg is true - not for the cobbled together Sea Vegg but for Original Limu that has over 15 years of research and development behind its proprietary non-chemical extraction process that makes Original Limu unique and one extraordinary food supplement that allows the body to reenergize its chemical machinery to sustain and correct the hitherto unchallenged assaults on the body through neglect and abuse of our Western culture and our Western diet.
The comment that there is no history of the value of seaweed is mistaken in that the whole idea of spending 15 years developing the extract for Original Limu came from the realization that the people of the Tongan Islands who eat the seaweed freshly harvested daily have experienced superior health and vitality with exceptional longevity for over 3000 years. The reason that only today there is so much discussion is that there is now one product and one product only, Original Limu, that has come up with a non-chemical, proprietary extract that is so highly bioavailable and potent, that remarkable results are being seen in people who consume this remarkable supplement. Companies marketing copy-cat products like Sea Vegg are just trying to siphon off the excitement over what is happening with Original Limu.
So, like the Tongan Island people, eating fresh vegetables like the limu moui seaweed that goes into Original Limu is definitely a healthy alternative to taking some small capsule of dried up seaweed. Original Limu is essentially the fresh vegetable captured in extract form. The idea, however, of just eating normal land-based fruit and vegetables, is not sufficient for a healthy life style, because, for one, the plants are full of herbicides and insecticides and increasingly are genetically distorted from the vegetables of the past. Perhaps even more troubling is that the soils in which fruit and vegetalbe are grown today have been depleted for about half a century now from the use of artificial fertilizers bearing only nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium without other critical minerals and trace elements needed by the body. Think about it – does a tomato from the grocery store taste anywhere near as good as a home-grown tomato?
We have been led to believe if we eat a salad or eat our spinach that we are taking proper care of our bodies. Besides the beneficial factor of bulk from such vegetables, the nutrients simply are not there any more the way they were 50 years ago. I have heard several ratios from 7:1 to 50:1 as to the number of bowls of spinach a person would need to eat today to match the nutrient / mineral content of a bowl of spinach 50 years ago. But, seaweed comes from the sea where the mineral content is constant and thus is a godsend substitute for the land-based foods served up in our grocery stores. And, again, the ultimate seaweed supplement is Original Limu grown not only in the sea but grown in the pristine pure waters of the Tongan Islands where no industry or large-scale agriculture pollutes the waters. And, even if land-based fruit and vegetables were still nutritious, it is a misconception that they are any cheaper than supplements – take a look at your grocery bill stubs for a period of a month and don’t forget the amount that spoils and has to be thrown away each month.
As far as costs, there is a misconception here that one is just dropping into a store and buying some thrown together supplement like Sea Vegg. With Original Limu, sales through a store are impossible in that a lot of eduction, training and coaching is needed to ensure that a person proceeds with the supplement properly and sticks with it to realize its full value. The cheapest way of handling such a need is through direct marketing with the typical marketing mark-ups associated with any marketing effort. And, without marketing, people would never find out about this incredible supplement discovery of Original Limu and therefore never enjoy the benefits. Also, over 15 years of R&D and exceptional care in quality control increase costs of such a product. In comparison to other supplements, the roughly $65 a month for a person taking the recommended dosage is not out of line of premium supplements sold elsewhere and about half of what I once spent per month on USANA supplements which don’t hold a candle in my experience to Original Limu. Finally, the comparison of these modest costs to a life on endless medication, with the expense of the medication and with the long-suffering of the body never getting well but actually getting worse due to the side-effects of medication and the eventual cost of surgery or cancer therapy, the price of a premium supplement like Original Limu is well worth it in value.
I am not telling anyone to drop his medication by any stretch of the imagination. I am not a doctor and cannot prescribe, treat, cure or diagnose any ailment. That is one's doctor's responsibility and, if one is taking medication, he is taking something that can potentially mean life or death to him because of the potency of the medication for treating a symptom and for wreaking havoc due to its customary and notorious side-effects.
Yet, medication is designed to treat symptoms. A natural supplement of any value like Original Limu provides the body with an arsenal of nutrients to help the body restore itself and consequently eliminate the symptom for which the medication was designed and prescribed. Thus, medications treat the symptom and nutrition removes the symptom potentially according to the teachings of the Father of Modern Day Medicine, Hippocrates, who encouraged mankind to "let food be your medicine and let medicine be your food." Unfortunately, little attention is paid to another teaching of Hippocrates, “Above all, do no harm!”
Over a period of time, a worthy nutritional supplement, like Original Limu, will restore the self-healing power of the body by providing the where-with-all needed by the body as designed by its Creator where our Western culture and diet have only wreaked havoc in the creation, the body -- thus the mounting and devastating chronic disease that so ruthlessly plagues our land and bankrupts our economy.
Over a period of time, as useful as it may be on a temporary basis to bring a body through a life-threatening condition reflecting a symptom of a disease, medication in general does not correct the basis of a condition and instead leads to a worsening overall condition and eventually a slow death like the daily slow poisoning of the body with a strychnine due to the crippling and eventually life-threatening side-effects of most medications. I saw first-hand the ravages of over-medication of my father on his death bed; he placed his absolute trust in the medical industry and forsook any responsibility for his own health.
So one may jest and mock nutritional supplements. The regulators like the FDA in cahoots with pharmaceutical companies may seek to deny the public of the godsend of worthy nutritional supplements like Original Limu, but the truth will win out. Our bodies are a creation designed by the Creator to prosper on the gifts nature provides, i.e. our natural food supply including that from the sea and not diet Coke nor man-made medications. When our people recognize the deplorable state of health in our land that our modern ways of living have reaped, they will embrace potent nutritional supplements like Original Limu and see their land healed and rid of strangling misguided corruptions masquerading as the answers to people’s hopes and prayers.
It is high time that we the people exercise our right of free speech and not be timid and shrink to the pressures of the powerful in the pharmaceutical industry and the government. We love our land and had better stand up for it. If we do not stand up for what we believe, our right to stand up and speak will be compromised and eventually lost altogether.

Mr. Craig, you ain't seen nothun yet!
This is going to be a huge revolution in health with the health and wellness industry catapulting itself into the range of the sickness industry (a $1.4 trillion industry) in the next five years from $200 billion to $1 trillion as predicted by an renowned economists with a great track record for economic upheaval predictions, Paul Zane Pilzer, as explained very nicely in his book The Next Trillion. There are too many sick people in our country and too many baby boomers getting old. People are sick of treating symptoms and eager to get their health back without the ravages of medication.
And, Original Limu will be at the forefront of this revolution. Take a look at the June issue of Natural Health to learn that Original Limu beats out its competition hands down. Keep an eye on this one, Original Limu. It will change our land ever bit as much as the Internet!
Hang on to your seats.

I don't have experience with either product, but our last weimaraner (dog) had a few mast cell tumors, and after removing the first and seeing the recurrence, we consulted a holistic animal care person (Lisa Newman) in Tucson. She put our vegetarian dog on vitamin C and seaweed powder, as she puts all dogs on this combo (calcium ascorbic form of C for less acid-tummy, and the seaweed powder was called Sea Supreme). The dog was also on astragalus root and gotu kola (herbs). Not only did the tumors go flat (6 months later the vet that recommended removal re-examined our dog and said, "Well, those don't need to be removed"), but Lisa had told us that the redness around the dogs eyes, mouth and ears would go away within 10 days. The vet had said they were allergies and to give Benadryl, which we had been doing for two years. Lisa said it was his immune system. Anyway, after a couple of days the angry red turned to irritated pink, and we thought we might be imagining it, that was so fast, but within SEVEN days, the pink was gone as well. The dog was 8 years old, and his fur had gotten stiff and wiry -- we had pretty much stopped petting his neck as we thought it was uncomfortable for him. But after 6 months, his fur was soft again, and it stayed soft, not puppy soft, but soft, until he died after his 15th birthday. Weimaraners usually live to be 10 or 11, by the way.
So, not meaning to babble, but I am considering getting more seaweed in our diets as we are starting to show our age and only occasionally eat seaweed soup. There are a lot of types of seaweed, none of them very cheap, but certainly with a spice grinder you could fill your own V-caps if you wanted to.
Lori at May 28, 2005 03:05 PM
This is amazing. There must be a small horde of minions from the seaweed companies with subscriptions to Technorati watchlists and google searches for seaweed related words. They then go into the forums and spread their "First Hand Accounts" about the wonders of seaweed.
Sort of peripheral to all of this slicky devious marketing is how many people does it take to keep up on these threads, how much do they get paid, and are these costs (or is it of such a small volume that one person is enough to handle it all?) justified in returned sales?
Maybe we should start a small group of "commenters" who go around to blogs about books or design and post things like:
"While I've never actually owned a literary object, there is something compelling about them as a form of healing, a form of beauty ... a object that brings nothing but radiance to the person owning it. I've heard some company called CMP makes these objects but, since I've never personally owned one, I can only speculate that the erectile disfunction my friend's wife's husband had was cured when I proxy ordered him a copy of Kuhaku. All the very best, Daniel."

Honest, Lori, if you are looking towards an effective product for yourself of a seaweed base, Original Limu cannot be beat. It came out first in early 2001 with a fully researched and developed extract. Its formulation is far more bioavailable and absorbable through the intestines than the dried seaweed powder of copycat products like Sea Vegg. The company providing the product has proved itself to me in many ways to be reputable and all I have been looking for. I am speaking truth when I say that this product is revolutionary and delivering unimaginable results like the pain it took from me, the adolescent scarring it almost completely removed from a woman in her mid-forties, the 20 year open wound on a man's leg it totally healed with hair now growing on it again, and much, much more in the cancer arena, cardiovascular area, autoimmune disease area, diabetes area, thyroid area, arthritis area, etc.
It is not a medicine. It is simply a food of such outstanding nutritive value that the body finally can correct its own problems as designed where our present Western culture has done nothing but reap devastation upon it and its immune system.

That's where we have all been deceived. Eat your vegetables! Fifty years ago, that wasn't such a bad idea. Today, the tomato you buy at the grocery store tastes like plastic compared to one grown in a home garden. Why? The tomato grown in the garden is grown in virgin soil and is harvested at the peak of ripeness where all the nutrients have been fully developed. The tomato from the store has been grown on land repeatedly used for the same purpose for the last fifty years with only nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium being restored to the soil. Also the store tomato is picked still green and is then artificially ripened. After fifty years of using the soil without replenishing the mineral content the way farmers use to do with cow manure and the like, I've heard numbers between seven and twenty being the number of bowls of spinach you would need to eat today to match a bowl of spinach produced fifty years ago. If you doubt me, just go to an upscale supermarket and notice the emphasis on organically grown; they're not talking just about the avoidance of chemicals but also the richness of the soil used in the growing of the produce. I use to participate in an organic food coop and still remember the richness of flavor of the carrots I would juice vs. those from a store.
The thing with Original Limu is that its source seaweed, limu moui (Sphaerotrichia divaricata), absorbs like a vacuum cleaner everything in its surrounding medium of seawater. Thus, it is not mineral and trace element depleted but bears all the imaginable minerals and elements in the sea.
Now, in certain parts of the sea where there is heavy industrial and large-scale agricultural activity, there is a great deal of run-off into the sea. This same seaweed that absorbs and incorporates all the good components of the sea will also absorb the pollutants. Again, the seaweed is like a vacuum cleaner cleaning the waters naturally to keep the sea from becoming a lifeless cesspool. Such a cleaning system has been needed since prehistoric times to handle effects of natural phenomena like volcanoes, oil releases, dead sea animals, etc. Once absorbed by the seaweed, the pollutants become part of the sea bottom and are no longer an environmental concern.
The distinction regarding Original Limu is that it is an extract based on seaweed grown in pristine pure waters present in the South Pacific islands known as the Tongan Islands where there is no industry or large-scale agriculture to pollute the waters. As I understand it, there are laws against motorized boats traveling along its shores for the purpose of protecting the purity of the waters and thus the seaweed.
Sea Vegg like so many of the other copycat products is not grown and harvested around the unpolluted Tongan Islands as is the case of the seaweed whose extract goes into Original Limu. So, with Original Limu, one gets an unpolluted product full of the colloidally dispersed minerals and trace elements of the sea not available in our present land-based food supply. Also, the key component, fucoidan, is primed through the extraction process to be optimally bioavailable in Original Limu for providing the exceptional health effects that are rapidly becoming synonymous with fucoidan (www.pubmed.gov).
No, eating your salads and vegetables is not enough anymore. The grocery industry has a focus on economics and shelf stability, not on nutrition. The processed food industry has a focus on what sells, not on nutrition. Something needs to be done to counter the assaults on our bodies due to pollutants in our food, our water and our air and also due to the stress and the poor health practices of the fast-paced and fast-food lifestyles. More and more cancer, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid problems, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, more debilitating flu’s are hitting closer and closer to home. We can no longer afford to play the roles of the ostrich of ignoring the problem or the lemming of simply continuing to follow the crowd. From almost a decade of health focus now, I am seeing Original Limu, along without thousands of others now, as the stand out supplement for supplying our bodies with the immune-boosting building blocks so dangerously missing in order that our bodies can ward off or overcome such rapidly proliferating maladies.

I am curious. I found this blog from Kuhaku.
How is this Limu better than normal seaweed we Japanese eat? I can't think its better than fresh pure seaweed .. ??
Max Inoue at May 29, 2005 08:11 PM
Fresh seaweed is good depending on the source; i.e. polluted or unpolluted waters. If from polluted waters, it could be more harmful than good. Just like the fish from certain regions of the world, seaweed can harbor dangerous levels of heavy metals like mercury as a result of pollution of the waters.
Original Limu is from the pristine pure waters off the Tongan Islands in the South Pacific where there are no sources of pollution like heavy industry or large-scale agriculture.
Also, fresh Limu is not available to most people. It could be shipped but it is perishable. The extraction process for Original Limu required 15 years to develop. It prepares the essence of the seaweed in a convenient and potent form possibly even more potent than that available in the fresh seaweed in that the extraction process sought to prepare the extract so the key nutrients were optimally bioavailable to the body.
Finally, there is no preparation needed as with fresh seaweed. One can get the benefits of Limu simply drinking it straight out of the bottle of Original Limu.

I just watched Kennedy's infomercial tonight and decided to do a google search before spending any more $$ on supplements. Several of the comments posted on this site cracked me up but were well founded. Kennedy actually is "48" years old not 62 like some of you so graciously thought - at least that is what I clearly heard him say tonight. When he revealed his young age, I frankly was both shocked and dissapointed. In his defense however, Kennedy shares a lot of important, acurate and passionately delivered information regarding not only the exceptional value of sea minerals, but the curruptness of the medical/pharmaceutical industry, and American's tendency to neglect their health. Unfortunately, he looks like the very prototype he is implicating. As far as I go, I am 39 and am constantly mistaken for 25ish. I think I'll hold onto the $40/bottle investment and just keep munching on the kelp chips and dulse that I purchase from my local health food store...
Liza at June 21, 2005 04:02 AM
I was talking last week with a woman in her early 30's. She said she had herself tried dried kelp a few years back and did see some value; however, she found that she really had to consume huge amounts of it to see any effect that eventually showed up in her hair being more lustrous and her skin smoother and more soft and moist but nothing really earthshaking.
She has been taking Original Limu now for over a year and has noticed things she was not expecting as in her increasingly severe lactose intolerance essentially disappearing and now allowing her to eat cheese and ice cream without any repercussions. She saw a dramatic increase in energy as well and the elimination of a general congestion that had plagued her for years. She also reported more restful and refreshing sleep. Her twin sister also has been consuming Original Limu with her doctor taking her off of her medication for lupus that was expected eventually to lead to blindness and she reports that her lupus and arthritis are now all but gone. They both are quite enthusiastic!
Such things were not experienced with the dried kelp trials. The fraternal twin young women reported that there is no comparison between the kelp and the Original Limu. With 15 years having been devoted to creating the extraction process leading to Original Limu, one can imagine that dried kelp has had not all that much to offer in the past or there would never have been a need for developing an extract. Both do have fucoidan, but Original Limu being a digested, extracted liquid formulation of the seaweed known as limu moui multiplies fucoidan’s bioavailability and effectiveness many times over other seaweed-based supplements. It is the extraction process that gives Original Limu its potency and spectacular results over simple dried seaweed like powdered kelp or Sea Vegg as seen in the infomercial with Scott Kennedy.
Also, Original Limu is a product that you can trust knowing that it is harvested with thorough and exacting quality control measures from the pristine pure waters of the Tongan Islands in the South Pacific where there is no industry or mass agriculture and thus no pollution thereby leading to a purer, more wholesome supplement than other seaweed-based products. One has no idea where cheap kelp or other seaweed products are harvested and many waters are highly polluted with heavy metals like mercury, thus the caution on eating certain fish from certain parts of the world!
Another exceptional value of Original Limu over dried seaweed powders is that, being a liquid, Original Limu can be applied topically. There are numerous reports I have heard including those of my sons that Original Limu is especially useful for dealing with acne where its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties as discussed in Rita Elkins’ well-referenced booklet Limu Moui (as well as anti-tumor and anti-cancer properties) (book found in most health food stores) can be operating both internally and topically. I have seen Original Limu to be of exceptional value regarding the skin in just about everyone I have seen who has been drinking it; they have a special glow or radiance about them that is noticeable with skin in general being softer, more moist and less wrinkled.
Also, as far as topical applications are concerned, I heard a report this week of a boy whose allergic reaction to ant stings leads to hives and a medical emergency. While on a picnic, he got stung and was starting to break out into hives with his parents becoming hysterical. The boy’s uncle had a bottle of Original Limu and he dabbed the stings with it. He reports that the boy’s hives and welts from the stings disappeared in half an hour and the boy went back to playing with his cousins as if he had never been stung. I have heard testimonies that Original Limu has helped topically also with bee stings, rashes, scar tissue, and brown age spots. I have also heard reports of people getting relief from reddened and sore eyes and from earaches through the topical application of Original Limu. I personally have found rapid relief and elimination of an infection high in my throat where gargling was ineffective by simply squirting Original Limu with a small plastic disposable pipette or eyedropper through my nose and letting it linger in the back of my sinuses and throat before swallowing.
I know a woman who lost her left breast surgically due to fibroid tumors but whose right breast and uterus, scheduled for surgery, became devoid of the fibroid tumors before the surgical treatment due apparently to the anti-tumor properties of the fucoidan in Original Limu thereby allowing her to bypass the second mastectomy and a hysterectomy. Then, she started applying Original Limu mixed with a commercial lotion (50:50) to her reconstructed left breast and found that the scar tissue faded away. She treats her skin and face with this mixture daily. We thought that her husband had married some young chick who could be his daughter she appeared so young only later to find out that she is not in her late 20’s or early 30’s but rather she is 47 years of age. She swears by the Original Limu for how her skin is so youthful, moist, soft, supple and wrinkle-free.
As far as the skin is concerned, I know of a man who had an open rash / wound on his leg since the early 1980’s and in a matter of a week or so, skin had grown over the rash with hair growing out of the skin solely from the consumption of Original Limu. Then there is a woman I know in her mid-forties who was really fit from a strong exercise program who wanted to ensure her good health by drinking Original Limu. Totally unexpectedly the prominent scars from an aggressive adolescent acne condition slowly faded away over a period of six months. I would see her every so often and finally told her that Original Limu was not just giving her a radiance of which her coworkers and boss had noted but that her scar tissue from her adolescent acne was fading away. I myself, who had unsuccessful neck surgery in eliminating a throbbing pain in my right arm due to a pinched spinal cord observed not only that the throbbing pain disappeared (probably due to the anti-inflammatory properties of the fucoidan in Original Limu) but also the scar from surgery is essentially gone now appearing only as just a wrinkle in my neck. There is another booklet titled Fucoidan that has a section discussing scarless healing.
I have noted that I come across a bit over excited about Original Limu. With these reports I present above being just the tip of the iceberg, can one really blame me? Perhaps those reading my postings will be forgiving of my exuberance and accept my apology for anything I might have said that was taken for being discourteous. I truly had no intention of being offensive. I just want to share the great news of Original Limu. I really have taken to heart the verse in 2King 7:9.
Support for seaweed, particularly Original Limu, as an exceptional nutritional supplement with anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-cancer properties can be found at the government website for the National Library of Medicine’s database of research studies from prominent medical research organizations from across the world including Harvard School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins and Baylor. Simply search for the word fucoidan at www.pubmed.gov; over 600 reports will turn up that can be narrowed to a more manageable number by adding words like immune, cancer, tumor, dermal, etc. One can find out more about Original Limu at www.limunight.originallimu.com and I would be happy to respond to anyone with questions at tfbail@sbcglobal.net.

Many people are looking for a quick fix and question whether they are willing to make a long-term investment in their health. They look all about them seeing cancer, diabetes, auto-immune diseases hitting home and the homes of their friends, but generally remain short-sighted and take better care of their car or home than they do their bodies. We breath polluted air, drink polluted water and eat nutrition-depleted and adulterated foods and make further deplorable food choices at the grocery store or fast-food restaurants. We make up for it by depending on our pill-pushing culture that, in fact, is killing us further with the dangerous side-effects of medication. Nevertheless, we are use to expecting that a particular symptom that is troubling us will disappear almost immediately when we take medication. Actually that is what medication is designed for - instant gratification from annoying or life-threatening symptoms regardless of the long-term consequences and without any regards to the actual healing of the body.
Thank God, Original Limu is not medication. In fact, I hate tainting Original Limu with the designation of medicine according to the definition given by pharmaceutical companies of the Western Civilization. Original Limu is simply an extraordinarily nutritious food from the sea that is the only source of the key nutrient, fucoidan, which is attracting such excitement in the scientific circles according to the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at www.pubmed.gov. If we were talking about starting to eat better, we would not expect to see overnight results but only over a period of time would we expect to observe changes and generally we don't even see the change it is so slow unless we think back how we were before the improved nutrition or a friend sees us after a long absence. I have heard that our bodies remake themselves with new cells duplicating the old and dying cells almost 100% in the course of a year. But, it is not overnight, not even just a month. It would be unreasonable to expect observable changes in one's health until the body is given a chance to make the appropriate changes over a period of at least 90 days at a minimum. That is why I would recommend a person start Original Limu with the three-month commitment pack.
What is just simply bewildering to me is that this Original Limu often does have an aspect of instant gratification for maybe 50% of those whom I know have tried it. I can hardly believe a simple food, no matter how nutritious it is, could provide such spectacular results overnight like increased energy, relief form allergies and arthritic pain and much, much more. This is more what a person would expect of a medication and, to me, should be far beyond expectation completely in regards to a simple supplement. Maybe, it just gets in there and immediately acts upon metabolic machinery / chemistry in the body providing that which has been missing for so long that the body just springs into action where is was just barely getting by before. I have seen personally that Original Limu, like other relatively good nutritious supplements, causes a detox effect in maybe 20% of those starting out on it and only lasting generally a week or two due to the body's machinery / chemistry going out of balance with the body producing long deplenished but critically needed biochemicals for the body and thereby overloading secondary and tertiary chemical processes in the body to the point of discomfort in the form of pimples appearing (on the crown of my head in my case), mild flu like symptoms, headaches, diarrhea or constipation, etc. Another possibility for the detox phenomenon is that the new nutritional building blocks help the body proceed with a body cleansing activity such that stored toxins in the body get released and expelled but sometimes not without some temporary discomfort and disturbing effects.
As far as the greatness of Original Limu, an 80 year old couple (he in the D-day invasion) with over 40 years of experience with health supplements having tried everything that has "come down the pike" and grown their own home organic garden including milling their own corn meal claims Original Limu as the greatest nutrition product by far and away over all else they have ever tried. They experienced literally overnight amazing increase in energy after barely existing for three months from injuries from a car collision. Again, every body is different with different genes, different amounts of abuse and different amounts of time required to heal. One may see absolutely fantastic results overnight or in the first month, but, for me, it took six months. I just feel highly blessed that somehow I was led to continue in spite of my initial disappointment. Now, I have no more pain, very little allergy / asthma struggles, cleared up skin, no more restless leg syndrome, no more need for doctor appointments for antibiotics or anti-inflammatories, etc. My life is utterly changed. I cannot live without Original Limu and have run an experiment of abstaining from Original Limu to prove the point much to my chagrin!
Look, I am no kind of hype guy. I would not be spending this time away from my business that pays $100 per hour as a Ph.D. organic chemist patent specialist unless I knew that the product was going to be the greatest supplement of all time that would utterly change the health and productivity of our nation. Also, from my Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) seven-year program (www.bsfinternational.org) that I was blessed to fall into taught me a verse particularly relevant to my sharing Original Limu, 2King 7:9.
I was extremely skeptical and even scoffing at Original Limu at first. And, when it did nothing to speak of the first month, I almost stopped buying it. That is why it cannot be sold out of a store front; a network of people is needed for education and coaching purposes. I don't know why exactly I kept on taking Original Limu except by seeing up close and personal the effects it had had on others including laboratory reports on blood work etc. I was impressed and wanted the same for me. Without that network of people, I would undoubtedly have stopped taking Original Limu that didn’t seem to be doing that much for me. I would probably have already undergone a second surgery on my neck or two more even as is the case for someone else I have met who had undergone the same problem as I had. I simply find Original Limu a miracle for me. I cannot live without it. My life is utterly changed.
The main point I wanted to make is that we denigrate Original Limu by calling it or even comparing it to a medicine. Medicine only treats symptoms and creates havoc and additional problems in the body through their side-effects. Foods like broccoli have no side-effects and only help the body get healthier so that it can fend off disease and repair damage and heal itself. Original Limu is a super food and we are blessed to learn about it in the early days of its existence with the supplying company barely being a year old. We live in a hurting world of ever spiraling health insurance premiums and deductibles and this is with ever increasing expenditure on pharmaceutical and medical technology. We have been living a lie. The answer is not in medications for long-term health but in our food. The medical establishment that takes the Hippocratic Oath has long forgotten Hippocrates’ two most noteworthy strong recommendations:
1. "Above all, do no harm!" [Forgotten with the ever increasing rush driven by economics of more and more pharmaceuticals.]
2. "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food."
One warning I guess must be made. Original Limu is so incredible in its nutritious value and the resulting benefits to the body that people struggle from getting a little over zealous and commenting on Original Limu with brevity. Please forgive me. God bless. Go to www.limunight.originallimu.com for more information.

Dear Mr. Thorp,
Thank you for your continued efforts in educating the masses of indoctronated people who have been literally fed with undernourished foods, sceptical attitudes, and continued dissapointments regarding quick fixes.
How much of this seaweed is found in the glyconutrient products made by Mannatech? How do your success stories compare to the multitudes of their scientific and medically documented cases of recovery through glyconutrients? Why don't you cover a broader spectrum than just seaweed.
I am interested in this product, both for personal and comparitive uses.

Hey Yvonne, Ann, Thorp and the other seaweed evangelists:
If you're so interested in the wonders of Original Limu, how about congregating at Thorp's site and talking about it? It's been great knowing you and all, but I'm starting to feel like a band of Jehovah's Witnesses is at my door early on a Sunday morning and refusing to leave.
Or how about buying one of our books? That would be an idea. Maybe it would help "in educating the masses of indoctronated people who have been literally fed with undernourished (books), sceptical attitudes, and continued dissapointments regarding quick fixes."
Just an idea. I think you might be interested in our book Kuhaku & Other Accounts from Japan, "both for personal and comparitive uses." If you order now, I promise to include a slice of nori to use as a bookmark or a snack ... or both (eat it after finishing the book, for example).
All the best,

I appologize, Bruce. The Internet is a strange creation where chin music becomes a place for discussion of sea weed. That is the nature especially of Google of pulling out the really important stuff no matter where it resides. Look at it this way, a lot of traffic is flowing through your website that otherwise would not as a result of that infomercial.
Yvonne, the simple miracle sugars are definitely what the body needs. There is lots of documentation accordingly. But, do we need to supplement them. A healthy body makes them for itself as needed and in the most effective deliverable fashion. Why would a person want to get just one element of a whole spectrum of supplements needed by the body? Man can do little things like figure out that certain sugars play a vital role. Only God can put things together according to our needs through natural foods with Original Limu being probably the most spectacular natural nutritional supplement ever discovered or ever will be discovered. People who have tried every thing else there is are amazed at Original Limu.
I am no doctor and cannot prescribe, treat, cure or diagnose anything. But the Father of Modern Day Medicine whose oath all physicians take says to let food be your medicine and medicine be your food. And, unlike the pharmaceutically based field of medicine, his other famous words to which all doctors swear probably with great consternation today is "above all, do no harm!"
There are no side effects with a food. Original Limu is like the ultimate food for which our bodies were designed. If we feed the body that for which it is designed, it will go about the process of correcting problems, regulating imbalances and generally healing the body. A cut finger heals itself without doctors. Doctors are suppose to be there really just to help the body heal itself. I have learned personally that cut fingers heal in about one third to one half the time they use to heal before Original Limu. Also, my sinuses are all cleared up. My flaky skin is now long forgotten. And, the throbbing pain in my right arm is gone. I do get sick occassionally but heal in just a few days instead of week without antibiotics and antiinflammatories. The fucoidan in sea-based plants and well activated in Original Limu has powerful anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties. Also fucoidan displays anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties. All this and more can be found in the website, www.pubmed.gov, for the National Library of Medicine.
I would love to talk further with you at 979-297-1919 or email at tfbail@sbcglobal.net. Again, my website is www.limunight.originallimu.com. Be blessed.

the man who owned this - funny enough owns the original limu company.
concerned at July 7, 2005 09:47 PM
The Internet is sometimes a bit of a tar baby. Once something gets into it, it is hard to get it back out and hard, after the fact, to explain how it got there and under what context.
It is a good time and place to bring up such oddities. I won't bore you with all the details and I must confess that this was a bit before my serious interest in this product over which I was actually a great skeptic at the time.
The president and founder of Original Limu has a major financial holding in The Limu Company as I understand it with the company being privately owned and debt-free. With the other company, a major international supplement company, the present owner of The Limu Company was just in the management position of president, not owner. The initial company abandoned the limu moui extract product because of inexperience with direct sales as I understand it and an interest in a merger that running a direct sales company might jeopardize. The acting president, being so totally blown away with the tremendous results people were experiencing with the extract, consequently took it upon himself working 16 to 20 hours a day with largely his own financing to reestablish such an indispensable product back onto the marketplace in just eleven weeks from nothing at all to bottles for distribution!
I have watched this man and seen his heart. He was, of course, already quite well off but chose to pursue the processing and marketing of this amazing product out of his passion to make a difference with his life on this planet. And, of course, could one imagine a better business opportunity with people so sick and in such pain due to our far inadequate food supply and devastating effects of medicines that serve only to treat the symptom but not heal the body and also wreak havoc with the body with their dangerous side effects? It is nutritional supplements, not such medications, that are going to see civilization through these ever-increasing health crises. Our bodies simply cannot stay healthy with the horrible diets and food supplies people of the Western World endure! And, wherever the Western ways of eating are exported, disease becomes more and more like that present in the Western World from which it is exported, unfortunately. To counteract the devastating effects of such poor diets and food supplies, Original Limu's stupendous nutritional cornucopia and its sea-plant-based fucoidan will be making a monumental impact as supported by the outstanding results of research recorded in the government website for the National Library of Medicine, www.pubmed.gov.
Original Limu is a revolutionary product that will change our world as we know it. It will become a household word in the next five years. The word bogus was meant, as I see it, to be a means of correcting alleged misstatements that some confused people sometimes make confusing a simple food or nutritional product with a dangerous and highly regulated medicine of the pharmaceutical nature. Thank goodness, the limu moui extract is simply a food that helps the body get the nutrients it needs to restore itself and not just another dangerous medication that only treats a symptom without restoring the body but actually poisoning the body through the dangerous side-effects of the medication from the pharmaceutical world.
Now, the word medicine is a tricky little word today meaning those dangerous pharmaceuticals that are so dangerous that they must be carefully controlled and dispensed only by a licensed and well-trained practitioner known as a pharmacist. Some people think that anything that helps bring improved health to a body is a medicine. In fact, even the Father of Modern Day Medicine upon whose oath all new practicing physicians swear, made the famous statement, “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food.” But, if anyone without proper counsel should make this same error today considering the pharmaceutical perspective, then the FDA is bound by law to accuse the purveyors of unevaluated medicines as frauds representing bogus products. Unfortunately, another famous quote of Hippocrates that is actually part of the Hippocratic Oath that all doctors swear upon is “Above all, do no harm.” This must be most confusing to new physicians whose major focus in school was on the dangerous side-effects of the symptom-treating only pharmaceuticals. Again, thank goodness that the limu moui extract is not a medicine!
I hope this helps explain why a perfectly good nutritional product proven so by over 600 scientific studies from prestigious institutions in prestigious journals from around the world could wind up being accused of being bogus by the FDA.

I just saw the sea vegg commercial while he may seem a little far off I believe the overall direction of letting our bodies heal themselves is totally correct. I also believe in the need for the wrold to eat healthier, become more active and use natural medicines to cure our most deadliest diseases. Don't ge me wrong if you experiencing a heartattack you wouldn't swallow some limu juice or pop some sea vegg capsules you'd go to the ER. However I am strong believer in preventative maintenance since I have stopped eating junk food, drinking juice (of any kind) and working out I've only become sick 1-2 a year. Man is becoming to reliant on pills and medicine to heal his body....the Earth has what we need to cure cancer, AIDS, MS whatever and are government is not doing enough in my opinion to explore the natural cures. We have hardly explored the sea or delved into the heart of the rainforest so how do we know that cures for these diseases and afflictions do not exist? Also why hassle Thorp because he promotes his product on here? If he has the proof of a remarkable product and wants to make money on the side that's fine by me, he's right the wellness market is going to blowup in the next few years. I myself am part of company promoting a great natural wellness product that works called Fruta Vida. In closing all I have to say is be skeptical and review these people before you buy their products that's your right but don't knock the idea of natural cures coming from plants and berries because one day you just might be turning to them for help.

The more I think about it, I have decided that the people that are cutting down this product must work for the other guys. Why else would they spend their time to come on this site and cut down this product. They must have been interested enough to set and watch the info commercial. If they think it is crap, they must be very healthy and not need this type product. I never had a doctor cure anything that was wrong with me. I have watched my Grand Mother be cured of colon cancer and live 30 more years with natural cures. The sea vegetables are wonderful. They are our answer. All disease comes from a lack of minerals, and this product along with many others from the Sea are great. If you have a bad comment about these natural products, remember that your comment just may make someone that is very ill, and really need these products turn away, and lose their life, because YOU don't believe, or have ever tried these products. God put them for us to use. You just keep going to the doctors and see how far YOU get.

Even if there were some potential benefit in the product, the infomercial gives immeasurable cause for one's scam radar to go into red alert. I have wondered why companies making such claims do not publish a few of their countless health studies on their web site, or make them otherwise easily available.

Sea Vegg and other newly surfacing sea vegetable products are on the right track. They just are far inferior to the original seaweed product, Original Limu, that has 15 years of R&D behind it in the proprietary extraction process. I have been taking Original Limu for about two years now and have witnessed many people grow to benefit from it in their bodies getting the nutrition needed for the their bodies to go about the business for which they were designed in healing themselves. Western medicine only covers the symptoms providing nothing to fix the problem the way natural foods provided for us on this earth can do. I would be happy to help anyone learn more about seaweed products: 979-297-1919 ; tfbail@sbcglobal.net. Also, see www.limunight.originallimu.com.
Thorp at August 2, 2005 02:49 PM
I was diagnosed with MS on May 19, 2005. I gave birth to my first child 9 months after I was diagnosed. The symptoms from MS were very painful. I was tired all the time and I couldn't remember things that well. My doctor presribed Avonex. I took it and it made me feel much worse. My Grandfather purchased me some Sea Veg. I take it daily plus I drink Noni and I changed my diet, eliminate fried foods and other things and I haven't had a flare-up for a month now. My doctor is amazed that I don't have any new lesions on my brain and that my double vision and vertigo are much much better. I also make kelp tea and eat kelp as well
The medication I was on cost me $1,175.00 a month. I would rather pay for the Sea Veg. Eating kelp and making kelp tea is also good. Much cheaper than my medicine. Sickness is a big money business. Just think if people could be cured from cancer, MS, Lupus, and other diseases how would the pharmacutical companies make their money. They can make meds to treat conditions but can't make ones to cure- or just don't want to. I've turned to natural remedies because when I did it the medical way I was in worst shape. Say what you want to say but I have been on both ends and I am staying with natural cures.
P.S. I must say the natural Kelp works muuuuch better!!!
Michelle Lee at August 2, 2005 10:04 PM
Though I am happy that Michelle shows such exceptional sensitivity to even marginal products, I am surprised that some ground up seaweed could do much for her. As for the Noni, the June issue of Natural Health had high remarks for Original Limu and dubious ones for Noni, which contains no fucoidan as it is not a sea-based plant. Science backs the fucoidan that is present in copious amounts and optimal bioavailability in Original Limu as noted in over 600 studies from prestigious institutions across the globe in the database of the National Library of Medicine at www.pubmed.gov.
I would think that the optimized seaweed liquid extract product, Original Limu, with 15 years of development behind it would work far, far better than the copycat product of dried seaweed, Sea Vegg. There is no problem with absorbing the nutrients from a liquid; a solid, dried seaweed would obviously be less absorbable. An additional feature that distinguishes Original Limu from Sea Vegg and natural kelp is that it is grown in the pristine pure waters of the unindustrialized Tongan Islands of the South Pacific - thus no pollutants like mercury or herbicides and insecticides are present in the supplement.
The thing that really troubles me with Sea Vegg is the marketing hype that belies an honest nutritional supplement concept as in manufacturing it like medicine in capsules. Of course, people who are caught up in the medicine paradigm grab right onto that not really understanding that a nutritional product is not at all the same as a medicine. Another troubling hype is the promotion that 12 different seaweeds are in that little capsule keying in on the unsuspecting that think variety is important even if just one pinch of each of the 12 seaweeds winds up in the capsule! Then there is the talk of seven different frequencies of light in the photosynthesis process; I would like to see the supporting research. Teaching that people breathing oxygen are really consuming a form of seaweed is a stretch as well.
Focusing on hype like this very strongly suggests to me that Sea Vegg has very little to offer and its promoters must resort to such hype to camaflouge their simple dried seaweed mediocre product that tries to capitalize on the success of the well-heralded Original Limu. What a shame it is that the unsuspecting in great need who truly are looking for the ultimate nutritional product are being siphoned away from Original Limu by hype over a simple powdered seaweed copycat product that bears no comparison to Original Limu.
I much prefer the honest, strong technical approach of Original Limu. While the Sea Vegg purveyors have studied seaweed for 20 years, the Original Limu producers have been working for 15 years with seaweeds to develop the ultimate supplement of seaweed in extract form.
If we had good land-based vegetables today, we would not be eating them in capsule form for our health. So why market a food in capsule form? And why market simple powdered-up seaweed that you can get anywhere for very little money when there is a product that has optimized the potency of the seaweed through 15 years of research into a product in extract form that can be taken in any dosage desired (not limited by a medicinal concept of capsules)? Also, the capsule form and the dried seaweed form precludes the application of the seaweed nutrients topically as is available with Original Limu in extract liquid formulation form.
People are really getting far from their money's worth buying copycat products like Sea Vegg full of hype and deception as in marketing them in medicinal form. Also, their pursuit for health is hyjacked by such hype delaying them in their time of need from finding and consuming the original and ultimate seaweed product, Original Limu. It is available today with no peer generating spectacular results in providing the body the nutrients needed in helping the body heal itself. Check it out at www.limunight.originallimu.com. Don't be led astray by inferior products.

Thorp at August 4, 2005 12:25 AM
Thorp so what if "ground up sea weed" is helping me. DON'T BE SURPRISED!! It's very very obvious that you are pushing your product. What does it matter to you if someone has found something that works for them and it is not your product. I wouldn't mind trying the Limu. Just like I tried Noni I would try that to as long as I don't have to give myself injections!!Just be happy for people when they find something that works. Don't knock them because they haven't tried your product. Maybe they just haven't gotten around to it. This is the first I've ever heard of Original Limu. Everyone around me drinks Noni and my aunt is a distributor so she always orders me some. i checked out your web page and I am going to give it a try. If it is great like you say it is I would have no problem giving a testimony to its' greatness.
Michelle at August 4, 2005 09:51 PM
I'm am indeed sorry, Michelle, that I gave you the impression that I was knocking you. Truly, I am delighted that you are doing so well. I would love to see a world of healthy and productive people instead of the growing masses of the sick and hurting in a world cowtowing to the medical industry that only nurses the symptoms and thereby extends the condition indefinitely without treating the cause and thereby creating an endless demand for their products along with the slow and continuous poisoning of the body with the routine and dangerous side-effects.
In your case, Michelle, I just want people to know that everyone is different and some people are fortunately very sensitive to even a marginal product, but the masses would be far better off with a product with substance over hype, in particular, Original Limu.
Still, it is a nutrition product and, unlike medicine, is something that might not show results overnight as it has for many, but, for me, it took six months. The throbbing pain in my right arm for which I had unsuccessful neck surgery disappeared unexpectedly and permanently as long as I continue to consume Original Limu. It took a new friend from Nashville just three days for her lupus to dissipate and leave her PAIN FREE (as she put it in her excitedly written email) and full of more energy than she had experienced in a very long time. She learned about Original Limu just the way you have, Michelle, through such exchanges over the Internet and I feel highly blessed that I could make a difference in her life simply by speaking up about Original Limu over the Internet like this.
My point is that people who try Original Limu or any nutritional product must be patient if they hope to experience dramatic changes from a nutritional product in spite of the fact that some people have terrific results in no time at all.
Also, with nutritional products, people should be aware that their bodies' chemical machinery may very well go out of whack or out of sync for a short time resulting in a condition characterized as detoxification that can manifest itself in diarrhea, constipation, headaches, mild flu-like symptoms, skin erruptions, etc. This detox process will be less intrusive if people drink lots of water with a pinch of sea salt with each quart (ala Dr. Batman) and also if they cut back and slowly build up again if they observe such effects.
With Original Limu, I have noticed maybe a third of those trying the product experience such effects. Once the body reestablishes homeostasis (chemical equilibrium), these detox symptoms will fade away generally in one or two weeks. Thereafter, the body will be getting nutrients as it has never seen before and it will start performing in extraordinary manner to correct and regulate the body back into good health as God designed it.
Unlike medicine that may serve as an anticoagulant (blood thinner or rat poison), an excellent nutrition product like Original Limu may very well thicken the blood if it has been too thin as a result of the body not working correctly or thin it in the reverse case. That is the nature of a nutrition product in that it helps the body heal itself, regulate its own body chemistry and not just perform one action in only one direction in ameliorating a condition as is the usual case of medicine that also suffers from dangerous side-effects not present generally with nutritional products.
It is such a shame that the FDA clamps down on nutritional products based on language presumed to be of a pharmaceutical nature when it is no more than like that of the Father of Modern Day Medicine, Hippocrates, who said "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food." Also, we learn in the Good Book that laughter is a good medicine. So, in spite of the First Amendment, we bearing good news regarding a new nutritional discovery even with scientific substantiation on a government website, www.pubmed.gov, regarding the key component of seaweed nutritional products, fucoidan, must always take care in the reporting of good results with nutritional products to say that they are exceptional and not proven by the very costly standards of double-blind studies of the pharmaceutical industry. We must also clarify that we are not doctors, lawyers, prescribers, diagnosers, curers, treators, etc.
We must walk a very tight line to avoid having a servant of the people of our country, the FDA bureaucracy, keep our people from partaking of new and natural discoveries in the field of nutrition. Nevertheless, there are indeed quacks and charletans about and accordingly, people should take care in evaluating products like the copycat products trying to syphon business away from Original Limu.
Now regarding the representation of a highly valuable nutritional product, as Lawaun said, the effective spreading of valuable information to others is spurred in an otherwise very busy person by the provision of incentives. Our whole society is based upon this premise and, without it, how could good things be conceived and produced and advanced forward if there were no value attributed to it? No one would have the time to waste away from more productive pursuits developing and evangelizing new and better ways for people to live their lives. And, only if it truly is good, will people be willing to compensate them. We all have work and it is compensated only if it has value. I could have continued making $100 an hour as a patent specialist just fine without wasting a minute taking time to share the spectacular nutritional product, Original Limu. I see the value of Original Limu myself and in so many other people in so many ways that I see in a short year or two that I can supplant my previous income and do a lot more good for the world than simply helping multinational companies protect and litigate their intellectual property rights.
God bless, Thorp www.limunight.originallimu.com
Thorp at August 5, 2005 02:06 AM
I have posted here before regarding Sea Vegg in comparison to Original Limu but have developed a little wider perspective now regarding other nutritional supplements in comparison to Original Limu.
The Sea Vegg product came on the scene along with a number of other sub-par, copycat seaweed-based products after the initial introduction of a truly valuable seaweed-based nutritional product in 2001. Yes, indeed, much of what Scott Kennedy says in the infomercial about seaweed as an exceptional nutritional source and the health situation in the world is valuable information, apart from hype like "seaweed living off rainbows," but Sea Vegg itself is far from the nutritional product of choice.
Unlike the hype of the Sea Vegg infomercial where Scott Kennedy touts his studying of seaweed for the last 20 years and picking twelve specific dried seaweed powders from the industrialized northern Atlantic Ocean to be packed into a tiny capsule to transform one’s life, the one true product of merit required 15 years of development for producing a liquid formulation of a proprietary non-chemical extraction concentrate of just one key seaweed from an unpolluted part of the world around the Tongan Islands in the South Pacific. Sea Vegg mimics a medicine to satisfy the public’s addiction to medicines by supplying the product in capsule form in spite of the deteriorating heat history necessary for such processing whereas the liquid formulation of the product of choice is sealed under an inert atmosphere and is to be refrigerated after opening to preserve its unoxidized, undeteriorated potency. Also, being a liquid, dosage can be varied with the product of choice to an individual’s particular needs; it can also be beneficially applied topically even in the eyes, ears, and nose and on and in wounds. Such is how the Tongan Island people have utilized the raw, perishable seaweed for over three thousand years. In this stabilized liquid formulation, a cornucopia of nutrients from this natural, whole food are released and made available in a highly bioavailable manner. This liquid nutritional discovery is known as Original Limu and was launched commercially in 2004 as is discussed without hype at www.limunight.originallimu.com.
Besides the typical highly hyped fare for nutritional supplements like Mangosteen, Xango, Gogi Juice, AgelessXtra, Noni, and others that focus almost exclusively on antioxidant content, Original Limu, being a natural, whole food product, provides essentially the whole spectrum of nutrients important to health as compared to the typical guesswork of some formulators packaging synthetically produced vitamins, antioxidants or specialized sugars (Ambrotose for example) with special twists and hype to entice the public. What a disservice it is to draw people away from what they truly need to something over-hyped, over-priced and of marginal or fleeting value. Most of the nutrients in all of these various supplement products and much more are present in Original Limu and in the proper proportions expected of a natural, whole food. When the body is provided with a rich range of nutrients for which it was designed, the body will function properly for optimum health including producing many of the essential components itself as it was so designed including, for example, the glyconutrients, thereby obviating the need for Ambrotose.
Especially compelling in Original Limu as well is the presence in great abundance and bioavailability of a special key glyconutrient component found only in seaweed; it is not in Ambrotose. Original Limu is the only rich and highly bioavailable source of this special nutrient. This material is a sulfated polysaccharide or glucan sulfate often associated with the term fucoidan and has been demonstrated in the scientific literature to exhibit anticancer, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antiviral properties along with tremendous immune boosting properties in general. Original Limu has also been reported to exhibit outstanding skin moisturizing and rejuvenating properties. People are reporting in large numbers exceptional health benefits for a whole assortment of health challenges in response apparently primarily to the fucoidan in Original Limu as predicted in the popular and well-referenced booklet written by Rita Elkins, Limu Moui.
Fucoidan, again found only in seaweed, is attracting great excitement in the scientific community with independent, unsolicited studies appearing since the 1970's, long before the development of Original Limu. There are now over 600 publications on fucoidan from prestigious institutions across the globe including Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Abstracts of these studies can be found in the US National Library of Medicine’s database at www.pubmed.gov. Over ten thousand documents can be found including the terms sulfated with either polysaccharides or glucan dating back to limits of online databases in the 1960’s. The scientific support, on the other hand, for specific antioxidant-based nutritional products are generally quite spare, unexceptional, quite recent due to being coupled to commercial introduction and also with questionable scientific sophistication and with no collaborating train of supporting documents across research teams from diverse institutions around the world.
So, Scott Kennedy’s infomercial rightfully generates a great deal of interest in seaweed-based nutritional products, but Sea Vegg itself is simply a marginal product attempting to lure the unsuspecting away from the truly valuable product, Original Limu (www.limunight.originallimu.com). Really, Original Limu is the ultimate supplement coming from a natural source and thus providing not only appropriately optimized and bountiful amounts of fucoidan and other nutrients but also the whole spectrum of minerals and trace metals available only from the inexhaustible sea as opposed to the mineral-deficient land-based fruit and vegetables grown on overworked soil and harvested prematurely on the basis of economic concerns and not nutritional need. Besides supplying what is missing in the diet, an outstanding nutritional product is also needed to help the body deal with the assaults of the adulteration of foods as with preservatives, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, antibiotics, hormones, etc. Our present fast-paced and stressed-out society relies on fast foods, stimulants like caffeine and sugar-laden or poisonous artificially sweetened drinks, and highly processed foods which include harmful components like hydrogenated fats that again are present for economic reasons to retard spoilage rather than to provide nutritional value. People need Original Limu to counteract these affronts to the body; they need to stop delegating their health issues to the television and radio spokesmen and the pharmaceutical industry and start taking responsibility for their own health. One needs simply to look around and see where the crowd is heading. People can no longer afford to play the ostrich or the lemming.
Finally, Original Limu does not just have an impact on symptoms (but without the dangerous side effects associated with medicines) the way natural medications like the antioxidant-based nutritional products like Noni, Mangosteen, Gogi Juice, AgelessXtra, etc. would have. Original Limu is not a medicine or herb but rather a highly beneficial food addressing the underlying cause of health challenges rather than simply treating the symptoms and thereby allowing the body to continue to coast downhill eventually to a point of no return! People are all so busy with the cares of life that they lose sight of the basis of our living a successful life; i.e. a healthy body. Without our health, we are going nowhere fast! We take care of everything else like our cars, our homes, our jobs, etc. and leave our bodies to fend for themselves. Just look around; a truly healthy person is a rarity to behold. There is no simpler way to reverse this disastrous trend towards devastating and life-threatening health challenges than to choose a true and complete nutritional supplement from the sea with fucoidan along with getting enough fresh water, exercise, fresh air, sunshine, and rest along with avoiding unhealthy lifestyles and placing one’s trust in God. Original Limu fits this picture better than anything else available by helping the body heal itself according to the Father of Modern Day Medicine, Hippocrates, who said “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food” and also “Above all, do no harm.”
It is my earnest desire to set the record straight regarding nutritional supplements. Too many people are sick and hurting and need to know the truth. I have been studying nutritional supplements for almost ten years now. I have a background for careful scrutiny having a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry and working in the R&D and intellectual property departments of three global chemical companies.
My intensity of interest in nutritional supplements has become almost an obsession now for over two years with my having had someone share Original Limu with me and my seeing my sinus and scaly skin problems clear up, the throbbing pain in my right arm for which neck surgery was unsuccessful disappear, and my constant need to see a physician for an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory every few months become a thing of the past. I haven’t seen a doctor since I started taking Original Limu over two years ago. I have run into countless others with equally amazing testimonies regarding migraine or sinus headaches, allergies, sleep disorders, weight loss struggles, acne, long-term open wounds, reversing of scar tissue, back pain, pain in general, carpel tunnel syndrome, arthritis, hypothyroidism, muscular dystrophy, sickle cell anemia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, hepatitis C, autism, depression, bipolar disorder, gastrointestinal disorders like Crohn’s disease, tumor reduction and elimination, cancer, autoimmune diseases like lupus, MS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis and much more with many of these results being confirmed by these people’s personal physicians who consequently often refer their other patients to sources of Original Limu. Much of these responses appear to be due to the fucoidan as reported in the book by Rita Elkins, Limu Moui.
My initial reaction to the idea of purchasing a seaweed-based nutritional product was absolute disdain with my suggesting that I could simply go by the nearby beach and grab my own seaweed if I wanted. But, since that time, I have come away with a great appreciation of this discovery arising from the proprietary non-chemical extraction process of limu moui seaweed. I have talked recently with a man from Japan who says that the Japanese penchant for eating seaweed as common fare in their diet would require buckets and buckets of not nearly so pure seaweed daily to equal the nutritional impact of Original Limu. I also talked recently with a Canadian specialist who studies live blood and has seen immediate and remarkable benefit in her patients who consume Original Limu particularly under the tongue. I am not a medical doctor and cannot and care not to diagnose, prescribe, treat or cure anything, but I believe the quickly mounting testimonies regarding this simple food from the sea, Original Limu, and, according to 2Kings 7:9, I see that I have a moral obligation to share this good news with a sick and hurting world. I also believe according to John 8:32 that the truth shall set you free and blogs like this provide a forum for seeking such truth. I also understand that ridicule and derision will be my due in the course of following Him by being His hands and feet and tongue in sharing this good news according to John 15:20. My focus on Scripture derives from the most rewarding activity of my adult life of participating in the international BSF seven-year program (see www.bsfinternational.org). It would be my pleasure to try to address any specific questions regarding this general subject matter at tfbail@sbcglobal.net or 979-297-1919. Dear friends, do not be misled.
Thorp at October 3, 2005 11:11 PM
I would encourage everyone reading this thread to go to www.Quackwatch.org . It'll educate you about how many false cures and worthless nutritional supplements are being sold these days. The FDA was created to stop charlatans from selling snake oil to people whose sickness made them vulnerable to the claims of people trying to sucker them. The standard for whether a drug or a food supplement, etc. is actually useful is the placebo-controlled, double-blind, randomized scientific study, not anecdotes from salesmen like Thorp. So Thorp, either PROVE that your product works with a solid, scientific study - or else stop your interminable and repetitive postings.
Dan at October 12, 2005 12:50 AM
Yes, indeed, Dan. There are a lot of things out there trying to pick people's pockets - like Sea Vegg. Solid science supports Original Limu at www.pubmed.gov, a government website with the searchable database for the National Library of Medicine. One can prove for himself the anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory properties associated with fucoidan, the key ingredient that is highly bioavailable only in Original Limu. There are so many other features that fucoidan addresses as well in regards to rejuvenation of the skin, immune boosting characteristics, auto-immune diseases, etc.
And, here I am, one who stumbled upon this amazing product with far more skepticism than you, Dan. I had tried a lot of the so-so products and even scam products. Not just I but a whole lot of other snookered people have come away with the conclusion that this Original Limu is truly amazing.
As far as double blind studies are concerned, that is how pharmaceutical companies are set up. It would be nice if the time and money were there with this one-year old product that such studies were performed. But, when the product is simply a food, not a medicine, and thus requires no FDA approval and there is plenty of science behind it of another variety, are you going to sit on something that has finally been put into a bottle that has served the Tongan Island people for over 3000 years and could serve our increasingly sick and hurting society today?
There are too many hurting people being taken in by scams and thus one has a moral obligation to share such good news as Original Limu as effectively as possible to help people who indeed are desperate to find something real and not just another delaying scam. There are many people who simply do not have the time with the disease or pain they confront to chase after worthless products. So, I will not back down. I have to share this great product with people.
Again, this is just a food, not a medicine, and it serves people's health by providing the nutrients missing in our Western lifestyle in order to give the body the ability to address health issues on its own as it was designed through its inherent immune system in much the same way that a finger heals itself with or without a doctor's or pharmacist's attention. In fact, little cuts and bruises I get while I consume Original Limu heal in half to a third the time they use to.
I had one extremely low opinion of the product when I first tried it mainly out of kindness to my 80-year old friend who told me about it. It seemed to do nothing for me at first in spite of the fact that many were reporting immediate results like a huge increase in energy. Thank goodness the product was available only through a network of people who could coach me. Thus, I kept at it and increased my dosage and within a couple of months realized that a throbbing pain in my right arm for which recent neck surgery was unsuccessful in fixing was finally completely and absolutely gone, gone, gone!!! A year later, I thought perhaps it went away on its own. So, I stopped my consumption of Original Limu for three weeks and my sinuses and skin were cutting up badly as again before and the pain started returning. It took a couple of months of consuming Original Limu before the pain was gone again. I cannot live without it. This is no double blind study, but I am not alone with such convincing evidence including corroboration of physicians of dramatically improved conditions in their patients related to their patient's consuming Original Limu for which the fucoidan content has been proven scientifically to be of value in many of those particular areas addressed in those particular patients.
As far as www.quackwatch.org is concerned, they do have some points but they also will take anything from anybody that reports of a negative exposure without followup. So quackwatch could be crucifying good products at the same time that it weeds out the weeds. It is largely just a bunch of hype, not different from the hype of lots of the products that it harangues. Earlier there were questions in this thread about problems noted in certain websites that I came back and was able to refute.
By the way, the FDA’s main function is to protect the public from prematurely marketed synthesized medicines that may have harmful effects. Foods do not fit this category and is what the Father of Modern Day Medicine had in mind in the first place when he said “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food” and “Above all, do no harm!” Now I did a quick Google search and found the following website, http://www.fda.gov/ohrms/dockets/dailys/02/Aug02/080102/02N-0209-EC-274.html. Appropriate to what I present above is the following quote: “The FDA's charter is to assure the safe production and application of toxic medical drugs. An FDA position to restrict or disallow factual, non-misleading labeling of nontoxic products, which support healing negates congress's mandate to allow the factual (plain English) labeling outlined by the Dietary Supplement Health Education Act (DSHEA).”
This Original Limu is something this nation truly needs and, as people start trying it, the nation will gradually start accepting this product as an everyday product of great value. I was just sitting in a baseball park tonight watching my son play fall ball with his high school friends. The guy next to me just turned 70 years old and has tried Original Limu with great relief from neck problems. He decided he would try to live without the extra expense and, within two months, was back at my door begging for more. We were telling the baseball coach next to us watching the game and he is interested in using it with his school's athletes for dealing with inflammation like pitcher's elbow or football injuries.
You can knock it all you want but you will eat crow and it will not be in the distant future. Trust me! Just read books like that by Paul Zane Pilser who claims from careful study outlined in his book "The Next Trillion" that people are looking for ways to improve their health realizing that disease and pain are only increasing with the advance of medicine; Pilser, an economist, predicts that this industry he dubs the Health and Wellness Industry will reach the Trillion Dollar level by the end of the decade from its present $200 Billion level and thus rival the Medical & Pharmaceutical Sickness Industry that Pilser claims stands at the $1.4 Trillion Dollar level. Hold on to your hat, Dan.
Yes, there are a lot of charletons but there are some phenomenal products in their midst and Original Limu is one of them with science to back it up. The day will come where our nation will be revitalized with Original Limu and the many who doubted will be thanking people like me who spoke out boldly in spite of many detractors. Thank God we live in a country where free speech is guaranteed according to the Bill of Rights or we would continue indefinitely with disease and pain plaguing our people to greater and greater extents and at younger and younger ages. And thank God for Original Limu!

Dane, you obviously don't feel at the top of your game. Your disposition would be remarkably improved if you would take better care of yourself.
It is amazing how much better your sleep would be with Original Limu and your disposition and mental outlook on life. Fifteen years of research into an extraction process, however, cannot be made up by simply pounding away on seaweed, but, if you must, try a mortar and pestle.
We are studying the fourth chapter in the book of Genesis in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) (www.bsfinternational.org). I find God's response and warning to Cain valuable to us all and would recommend it to you. Cain followed his own compass, unlike his brother Abel. He never got his act together and, instead, continued moaning and groaning and rejecting His wisdom.
We indeed are our brother's keepers according to Christ's second commandment. I expect abuse being of Him, but I still pray to be what I need to be to lead you to Him. Where those of Cain would turn their back on those of Abel and even kill them, those of Abel would love their neighbors, especially if the neighbors were lost like Cain. Do you know what His first commandment was? The two are the keys to life. Choose life! Forsake your aimless ways.
A good start for you would be learning the meaning of wisdom in Proverbs. If you want a view of our country in the hands of those of Cain, read through those short books of the Minor Prophets near the end of the Old Testament. If you wind up thirsting for truth, check out first the Book of John in the New Testament. Such would be far better use of your time in the wee hours of the morning than watching the life-robbing television. If your mind can handle intellectual pursuits, you might find joining a BSF program quite stimulating.
If this be not just water off a duck's back, I would be happy to be of further assistance at tfbail@sbcglobal.net or 979-297-1919.

Astonishing, just astonioshing. The idiocy of human beings shames my inclusion into this race. Hundreds of years of scientific discovery are flushed down the toilet each time some fool spends one cent on worthless gimmicks. Substitiute any "product" into Thorps diatribes--god, religion, amway, scientology, tony robbins, oxy10, coral calcium, colloidal minerals, weight-loss, and christian rock--it's all the same crap. "We have something you need, we have the answer to your well-being.
Here's what I'm touting: Listen to Geaorge Carlin's "You are All Diseased." Start with a piece called "American Bullshit."

Yes, indeed, Glen. There are a lot of snake oils out there as I mentioned earlier. Even the infomercial on Sea Vegg by Scott Kennedy is such. It truly is difficult to sort out the hype from the real. I have studied intently a bunch of these hype products. I had thought Original Limu was just like the rest. Sorry, to come off like another snookered dude all bothered by just another snake oil, but this Original Limu stuff is for real. I don't have time to waste on hype! That is why I studied Original Limu and other products so intensely.
You can make fun over it all you want and miss out on its amazing properties as documented by reputable scientists across the world in prestigious institutions like Johns Hopkins, Harvard, etc. according to its key component fucoidan in the database of the US National Library of Medicine at www.pubmed.gov. Those properties are quite remarkable in being anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, exceptional immune-boosting and skin-rejuvenation.
You can continue on as a Crusader against all that has jaded you, lumping them together with many other things you don't understand. I don't blame you. I was just like you once. But, personally now, I truly cannot live without this product, Original Limu, (www.limunight.originallimu.com) and believe that many people would find they cannot either if they would just try it. They, like you, can turn their noses up at it, but it would be such a great loss to them.
Now, in regard to your comment, "We have something you need, we have the answer to your well-being," if there were no one sharing something new, then you would still be living in a cave - no light bulb, no car, no cell phone, no cds or dvds, vitamins, etc. People who stay in their caves and shun new ideas miss out on a lot. Astonishing, simply astonioshing - such idiocy!
Yet, here we are on the Internet together so somehow we both have abandoned our caves, but what choices do we make. I am a Ph.D. organic chemist and, consequently, I have a rudimentary handle on the hundreds of years of scientific discovery. Oh, the wonders of hydrogenated fats in retarding spoilage and improving consistency of oils but without ere a concern for the chaos heaped upon the body and consequential ill-health encountered upon consumption. The same goes for the marvels of fake sweeteners - how marvelous each one has been before being pulled off the market because of the mounting evidence of its harmful effects upon living organisms, you and me, dude! The same goes for Vioxx and Celebrex and the like!
Why go to science for the fake, the artificial, the substitutes, and the shams when anti-inflammatory properties have already been proven to exist in natural whole food seaweed in the form of Original Limu? My son finds Original Limu great in regards to handling soreness in his pitching arm and dealing with his acne; the throbbing pain in my arm, my flaky skin, my sinus problems disappeared after I started taking Original Limu. And, neither my son nor I have to worry about dangerous side effects of a natural food vs. the counterfeit cast upon us by science!
I say consider the hundreds of years of science at least as thoroughly as I have. Snake oils require careful consideration as well. Just as you find a lot of bad things resulting from the hundreds of years of science, there are also a lot of good things - not unlike the Internet, but even there, one has the good improved communications and the bad of the filth pushed upon our unsuspecting children. And, just as you find a lot of bad things about so-called snake oils, there are indeed also a lot of good things that you flush down the toilet when you lump them altogether.
Finally, Glen, anyone who worships at the altar of George Carlin is also missing out on an amazing life of possibilities being focused only on what's strange and wrong and not on what's intriguing and right. And, Terror, let your heart not be troubled and, yes, God help us all.

Thorp at October 27, 2005 01:14 AM
Let me first make a few things clear:
I have nothing to sell this readership.
I have used both; Sea Vegg for 8 weeks and Original Limu for 8 weeks.
I am not scholarly, nor do I have any fancy bits of alphabet following my name.
I am 55 years old with no major medical problems.
I do have elevated blood pressure.
I do need corrective lenses (bifocal eyeglasses) to read.
I smoke as many cigarettes as any Asian also consuming fresh seaweed.
I am checked regularly by a licensed physician.
I have been on prescription medicine to treat high blood pressure since I was 49 years old. I am still taking the same prescription for the same minor medical condition. Neither supplemental dietary product, Sea Vegg nor Original Limu has had any effect positive or negative regarding my minor physical conditions.
My eyesight still requires the same correction that it did six months ago.
Due to my age, cigarette smoking has caused the early signs of emphysema. And yes, I still have the same early signs of emphysema. Not worse, not better, but the same as it was six months ago.
So why did I take Sea Vegg, and or Original Limu? I was looking for an alternative to my daily vitamins. I was not looking to save money, but more importantly improve my diet with a better supplement than over the counter vitamin tablets, and maybe, just maybe, make a physical improvement.
Did I notice any difference at all while I was taking either of these supplements? To be absolutely frank, no! On the other hand, would anyone notice any difference after taking one-a-day vitamins for 8 weeks? I seriously doubt anyone could convey any scientific data supporting the use of one-a-day vitamins as opposed to not using them for eight weeks.
Some might argue that I did not give either product enough time to “allow the body to heal itself”, while others are nodding in agreement, those dietary supplements are all but worthless casts into the toilet.
I am not writing here to promote any product that I am currently using as a dietary supplement because even I am not sure that it will live up to the distributor claims.
I can in all honesty testify that there is some benefit to the aforementioned products. They both supply the body with necessary vitamins and trace minerals. I can not in all good conscience recommend them as anything other than vitamin supplements.
Deep in the heart of Texas at October 30, 2005 01:07 AM
The comments of Deep in the heart of Texas represent well my first six months of use of Original Limu. To say I was skeptical, even antagonistic, is an understatement. The only thing that kept me going is that I personally saw people whom I had known for many years experience dramatic turnarounds in their health and mental outlook. Then I got around members en masse and interviewed them. It was tantalizing! I just wished it were true for me.
Then, weighing close to 200 pounds, I followed the recommendation of increasing my dosage and within two months my skin was noticeably smoother, softer, less wrinkled and with a radiance typical of steady consumers of Original Limu. Within three months my sinuses were dramatically cleared so I did not hack and cough for two to three hours every morning and struggle to fall asleep with a cough. And, also, in this time the pain in my right arm for which neck surgery was unsuccessful was eliminated. Again, I tested it by abstaining from Original Limu a year later for three weeks and all these problems returned. No doctor visits have been needed since Original Limu as well. I've got to tell you that I was one surprised person! I had to eat crow.
Now, I feel an obligation to share the product. And, yes, there are plenty like me and "Deep in the heart of Texas" who don't see the new rush of energy or the migraine headache disappear. I just think that the problems I have did not happen overnight and the correction of them through good nutrition will not for many happen over night. To help slowpokes like me, the product is sold through a network of people who can provide the support that was responsible for my life being utterly transformed. Too bad, Deep in the heart of Texas apparently partook of no such support, no such coaching.
And, for Sea Vegg vs. Original Limu, throwing together in a small capsule dried up seaweed is like eating dried up wheat grain compared to bread made up of the ground grain. You just do not get much from the whole wheat grain as the nutrients are trapped therein. The same is true with seaweed. The nutrients in Original Limu including the key component fucoidan are freed up and readily bioavailable; not so for Sea Vegg in Scott Kennedy's infomercial.

This guy Thorp is a real winner. I wonder if this guy ever gets tired of hearing his own BS. Why don't you direct us to your published works, Mr. Ph.D. You have a doctoral degree and the best you could do was multilevel marketing propaganda?
Don't you think the pharmaceutical companies would grab up and patent any substance which was found to be medically beneficial? They would write TLC and their minions of loser, gullable dickwads a giant check and it would be a done deal.
Look at this mob of losers...Thorp (Tom Bailey) included:

Aaron B at November 2, 2005 06:28 PM
Yes, Aaron B., I do tire of having to address the confused and narrow-minded who have time on their hands to the extent that they have nothing better to do but to go around puffing themselves up as though they know it all knocking revolutionary ideas along the way. That has been the way of good ideas over the millennia. People just cannot accept new ideas. They have to protect their calcified view of the world in spite of proven dramatic pitfalls such as iatrogenesis (see indicated websites below) at the expense of ideas that shake up the existing order to the advantage of the world. So, I am bound to respond by providing a complete and self-contained response to sort out propaganda from truth when attacks upon revolutionary ideas and also my character and motivation are continuously proffered.
My work was in the petrochemical and plastics industry as a bench chemist largely with projects directed to solving critical problems that occasionally risked whole product lines. I was really a good problem solver in that I could handle mountains of details and sort out the critical facts from the noise and that is what I do with this supplement industry. My efforts in industry were largely kept in internal files as trade secrets and thus the pursuit of self-aggrandizement through publications never much occupied my attention.
Because of experience in diverse fields of chemistry, I became a technical database consultant eventually serving as a contractor for companies with intellectual property issues in the latter part of my career. Then health problems started impacting my energy level and my ability to handle the workload efficiently and effectively. That is when I ran into what I saw as a miracle, Original Limu. The health challenge of a continuously throbbing pain in my right arm disappeared.
I had a decision to make: to pick up my technical field again in helping companies protect their intellectual property or to pursue new directions in the latter years of my life. I chose to change my focus in life from serving the corporate giants and constantly being at their mercy with little evidence for an enjoyable and engaging retirement as my technical edge wound down with age. I considered my personality and passion in life was better directed in helping people in an age when so many people were coming down with serious diseases and obsessed according to the prevailing medical paradigm of putting dangerous chemicals into their bodies simply to treat a symptom as opposed to providing the body the proper nutrition for helping the body to heal itself.
I developed a vision and mission for my life that was far more satisfying than simply looking for clients and trading my time for just getting along financially. I saw that I could help people and at the same time provide for my family and my future. With my technical strengths I felt there was a definite niche for me in this pursuit where so much confusion, hype and shallow thinking prevails. So here I offer what has taken nearly a decade of hard work of analysis and comparison to understand that Original Limu is the ultimate supplement. I saw that my life would have more meaning then in sharing the light of truth in a dark, deceived and confused world.
Now, as for pharmaceutical companies, they are into medicines for treating symptoms because this is something they can patent and get a monopoly for a period of years. They then push these drugs upon the unsuspecting public even directly through television ads so the consumer can go doctor shopping to be able to add one more poison to their regimen.
Whereas medications are to be a temporary fix until the body overcomes the problem naturally, pharmaceuticals are now looked upon as life-support systems to be taken until they kill the patient. There are people consuming ten to twenty different medications at the same time, many of the medications taken merely to mitigate the dangerous side effects of other medications. And, all of this is just to get the consumer by with relieved symptoms, not to enable the person to get off of dangerous the medications by getting well. What a great deal for the pharmaceutical companies!
Now, when a company has all sorts of employees to care for and tremendous economic power through lobbyists in government and former executives in regulatory bureaucratic positions especially for shutting down all potential competition in health like Original Limu, why would they waste their time on a little single product line like Original Limu that helps the body overcome the health issues altogether, not merely treat the symptoms? What would happen to the ten to twenty different revenue sources that particular consumers would jettison? Such would be devastating to their bottom line and thus they try to ridicule and drive out of business any nutritional products, many deservingly so but a few, like Original Limu, being excoriated to the detriment of society.
Also companies cannot get a patent on natural products. They would wind up empty handed as far as their customary monopoly is concerned, competing with other companies and thus being unable to make exorbitant profits the way they do today on the backs of the unsuspecting public that they slowly kill on a daily basis, not to mention the hundreds of thousands killed each year through misapplication and adverse effects of these dangerous prescriptions (http://www.yourmedicaldetective.com/public/335.cfm or
http://www.sweetliberty.org/issues/health/cause.htm or http://ancienthealthsecrets.com/people/3rdcause.htm ) .
Original Limu stands alone and makes a modest profit vis a vis the drug industry through the proprietary extraction process that is the key to the product -- leaving other products like Sea Vegg from the infomercial by Scott Kennedy with its simple dried seaweed capsules in the dust. The extraction process optimizes the bio-availability of the amazing immune-boosting component, fucoidan, which is receiving such exciting attention from such top of the line research institutions like John Hopkins, Harvard School of Medicine, and others across the planet as noted in www.pubmed.gov.
So this guy Thorp, seeing the pharmaceutical industry valuable for temporary relief but not for long term poisoning, considers the propaganda to be part of the medical establishment. True, there is lots of propaganda in the supplement industry as well. That is where this guy Thorp finds his purpose in helping the world sort out the propaganda from the truth and the truth is with Original Limu. And, according to John 8:32 "know the truth, and the truth will set you free!"

Valuable resources for clarifying the medical (sickness) industry vs. the health and wellness industry and also the network marketing industry in this regard can be found in books by a prominent economist, Paul Zane Pilzer, "The Next Trillion" and "The Next Millionaires." Jeez... I REALLY wanted to try either one, but now I feel stupid. Everything Kennedy says in his "infomercial" seems so sincere, but that's the trick, I guess. We've all seen those REALLY long-winded email-scams from places like Nigeria, in which they need "help" to move a BUTTLOAD of money out of the country and need your help to "blah-blah-blah..." Now, it almost makes a letter look suspicious when it's shrouded in so much OVERT politeness. I guess it all just comes down to taking a COMPLETE stranger at his/her (typed) word. I prefer to mitigate my risks…so I wonder: could this be limited to merely a loss of a few bucks to snake-oil, OR is it both a possible financial AND a health-risk? If the product doesn't help but also doesn't HURT, then it's just one-less bag o' groceries. I got under the weather after taking "Supreme Greens", and am afraid to test the coincidence. I anticipate another soliloquy in response to this posting.

I have no doubt that when the hoards of losers like Thorp aka Tom Bailey attend meetings for TLC that the executive staff line them all up and place helmets on their heads for a good infusion of brainwashing and bad music (ala the Original Limu theme song). Take anyone of these idiots and they will spew the same mantra with the same twisting of facts used to prey upon the fears of gullable people. But the real irony is that Thorp doesn't even know it--he's too damn stupid to get it.
Plus, he's a phony. If he has a doctoral degree, then he would have to had published something as his thesis--something that is not a "secret." So, he is either lying about having a PH.d, or maybe never finished his thesis, or would point us to where we could read it.
These huge multilevel marketing companies do far more damage to the psyche's of weak-minded, fearful people like Tom Bailey than any pharmaceutical company ever will. Look how he spews out a bible verse which has no friggin' scientific relevance to a product designed to provide help for disease; it's a just a tool that that these brain-manipulators use to reel in their masses, hawk their products, and give a reward. Just like born-again christian pastors who imbue their flocks with guilt and fear.
How about taking a more realistic look and the benefits of modern medicine and drugs? Western medicine has typically had less success with chronic or auto-immune illnesses. And for sure, drugs often precribed in these instances only address symptoms. (This is where guys like Thorp take a small kernel of truth and characterize an entire industry for being bad).
But progress is always being made with new clinical drug trials and by integrating lifestyle/dietary changes. For conditions such as bacterial infections, cancer, and heart conditions--modern drugs have done wonders. Certain vaccines and antibiotics clearly have been proven to contain and cure epidemic illness. Chemotherapy drugs, while toxic and sometimes ineffective, have also extended or cured millions of people who otherwise would have died forty-fifty years prior.
I'm sure Tom Baily and the other brainwashed masses will dispute this and say it's all a lie. I would like to see if Thorp was diagnosed with a cancer that was known to be very treatable with Chemo or Radiation if we would instead treat himself with seaweed and continue to decry the evil empire of Western meds. Maybe then, he would be less concerned about spreading his word to "help" others and would be more concerned with saving his own ass and shut the f**k up.
What aboutt other invariably useful drugs like sedation for surgical procedures, nitro-glycerin for angina patients, blood thinners, aspirin, insulin, procrit, neopogen? Surely these must be bad evil drugs too.
There is one thing that this seaweed shit has going for it--it's harmless and this liitle thing called the placebo effect usually kicks in 50% of the time.
Thorp, you're an imbecile.
Aaron B at November 7, 2005 02:16 PM
Aaron B, there is no need to be so coarse in your language. It hardly warrants a response. What is your game? Clean up your act! What degree do you hold? Can you direct me to your list of publications? What a pity to see a person defile himself so publicly! I believe you seriously hurt whatever case you are trying to present through your adolescent language. You could also work on your spelling as in your misrepresentation of people as being gullable (instead of gullible) when really most the people taking Original Limu because of my writings are most generally well studied and highly educated with exceptionally probing questions.
I have little more to say in that what I have already written in response to your first outburst still applies.
BTW, you can check out publications under Thomas F. Bailey with Paul G. Gassman, former National President of the American Chemical Society. My Ph.D. thesis from the University of Colorado was published in 1972 in the field of Iron Carbonyl Chemistry including a method of synthesis of Diiron Enneacarbonyl in copious amounts through a photolytic process from iron pentacarbonyl. My industrial research included chlorinated pyridines used in herbicides and insecticides and also polycarbonate among a number of other interests involving heterogeneous catalysis, particularly with zeolites, and epoxy resins to name a few. My intellectual property database work and analysis involved petrochemicals and plastics / polymers but also included semiconductors, lithium batteries, food supplements, gasoline and lubricant additives, detergents, petroleum exploration, biotechnology, hi-tech, etc.
I do not look at myself as anyone any brighter than the next guy, just more interested. I wish my two high school sons showed more interest in school. I truly enjoyed delving into these many interesting technologies and saw them as an amazing testament to the glory of God who is the master chemist. I would come into the laboratory every day having run an experiment overnight thrilled with the prospect of learning a new twist in chemistry no one ever knew before. What a high!
I have the same thrill with Original Limu. That crowd of "losers" you so crudely and derisively misrepresent are like a laboratory to me. Each one has learned a number of new things as to what Original Limu has done in their lives. They are so excited about the changes in their lives due to Original Limu, they cannot help themselves but to share the good news with a sick and hurting world the way I look to 2Kings 7:9. What a high it is for me, the way it had been for me in my laboratory research, to share Original Limu with someone like the one with MS and see that person throw away her cane never to pick it up again now for well over a year.
A placebo effect tells as much about medicines as it does nutritional supplements! But, placebo effects do not apply to pets and pets do beautifully with Original Limu. Also, in my case, I did not get with any haste what I was looking for - increased energy - the way so many other people were getting. No, unexpectedly someone had to ask me what I was doing to my face that it was no longer rashy and flaky. I had no expectation whatsoever that the throbbing pain in my arm would disappear and when I discontinued use of Original Limu a year later, the throbbing pain returned. Also, laboratory results corroborate positive findings with Original Limu and there are physicians now in my area recommending Original Limu to their patients and patients are having their medication dosages reduced and even eliminated in many instances.
As for your perception that I knock medicine, I have one son who is a practicing radiologist and another in med school. That is two out of five with two still in high school. Also, in my last response you should have seen my attitude in regards to medicine, "So this guy Thorp, seeing the pharmaceutical industry valuable for temporary relief but not for long term poisoning, considers the 'propaganda' to be part of the medical establishment."
Pharmaceuticals should be there for the purpose of getting a person through a challenging health episode by treating the symptom; the correction of the underlying condition leading to the episode is best addressed by allowing the body to heal itself and nutrition is a key component here. Chemotherapy, for example, acts in taking care of damage already incurred generally due to poor nutrition (and genetics) and there after the body regains its health on its own, particularly with Original Limu. A cut finger heals on its own (and about twice to three times as fast for me with Original Limu). A doctor does not heal a broken bone but merely sets it so that the body will heal itself with the bone properly aligned. Doctors and medicine have their place but nutrition is key to the body doing its work which is the main work; doctors and medicine just assist the body in its healing itself.
My concern with the pharmaceutical industry is the economic forces leading it to put the dollar ahead of health concerns. Again, you would do well to read some books, in particular the ones I recommended before by Pilzer.
You also need to realize that people with religious convictions are not stupid. You would do well to participate in the greatest and most intellectually stimulating study of any studies in all my life through www.bsfinternational.org. I pray that you come to The Way, The Truth and The Life (John 14:6).
Another book I would recommend, the one that beats all hands down, is the Holy Bible. You might want to feast first on the Book of John. BTW, the man at Dow with the most patents, one of the brightest men I know, studies right along side of me in my Bible Study Fellowship (BSF); in fact, he is my mentor.
You should seriously reconsider your opinion of the Christian faith. Pastors I know teach hope through the living Lord, Christ Jesus, the widely anticipated Messiah from the Old Testament. They teach His light over darkness (see 1John). Forget all your negative experiences; I had them too. I use to think of the goody goody Christians as a bunch of hypocrites. Many still are! The only anger Christ expressed was against the religious leaders of his day who were absolute hypocrites. So, you are in good company, but, really, we in Original Limu are genuine in the main, not the gullible and hypocrites you charge. I took six months to fully check Original Limu out before I ever recommended it to anyone; I was one of the most skeptical people I have found.
My faith is new and growing since a low in my life in 1983. Just get yourself in a quiet place and marvel at the beauty and intelligence in the Book of John. What a high - above all highs! I would think from the negative nature you present that the Psalms and Proverbs would be especially valuable to you as well at this time.
The whole Bible and how the Old and New Testaments are so incredibly interwoven is the greatest treasure on earth! Give yourself a chance. What do you have to lose? Perhaps it is too frightening to you. Relax. Enjoy it. Look, if I was able to come from a place such as yours, so can you. God bless you, Aaron.

Typical response...as expected Bailey. You born-again jerk-offs are all the same. You sense that you can "save" someone, whether it is with seaweed or god and then get all excited, tell all of your Limu or bible study friends (who will then pray for you) and make your best effort to convert. The whole proselytizing lot of you make my stomach turn.
You are the most fear-driven, guilt-ridden people on the planet who insulate yourselves as judgmental morally superior "messengers." I'm sure you all love George Bush's America too and that we are getting all the bad guys and that god is on OUR side.
Now speaking of GULLIBLE, what could define the word better than a mass of adults who believe that an invisible man in the heavens guided a few disciples to take his dictation word for word to create a flawless revelation of his intentions and guidance. These are the people who have no understanding of how these books came together historically or why the new testament seems to perfectly fulfill the old testament. Gee, maybe the writers were clever enough having known the writings of the OT intimately to invent just the right responses in the NT? They had a Jesus to sell baby. They were marketing him just like Limu. Too bad in those days they didn't throw big bashes to pat themsleves on the back and congratulate themsleves on new converts. People like Thorp aka Bailey also believe that civilization has only been around on earth for ten thousand years.
And you have the nerve to call yourself a scientist.
You haven't addressed what you would do if you had cancer. Sure, I know that god would take care of you and I guess it's HIS will as to whether he wants to swoop you up to the heavens or let you continue your sad mission here on this lowly planet. I'm also sure you would think god gave you a cross to bear for a reason and you would have to use your illness to spread his name. But that already happened in 1983 when you were down and out and then found the lord just like million of others who are "lost" and the only way out is to believe that an omnipotent father figure in the sky is looking out and will give them eternal life.
What hubris, what ego! Mr. Scientist, have you ever fathomed how big the entire universe could be? Yet you think that you are so special, so blessed, that a creator would whip together an entire universe but only give significance to an incredibly infinitesimal fraction of it to human beings created in his image. You people amaze me. You are riddled with more emotional problems, fear, and insecurity than most. You constantly have to validate yourselves through somemething other than yourself.
Maybe there will be hope for your two sons in the medical field. Thankfully, they will be two people who are actually helping and saving people with their skills instead of running off at the mouth with Limu diarrhea.
limu, god...interchangeable fantasies, but only the former is harmless.
Perhaps now at football games, zealots who buys seats behind the endzone will be waving Limu flags instead of John 3:16 banners.
Aaron B at November 8, 2005 10:12 AM
And your degree, my dear Aaron, and your publications? You preach as though your position is untenable yet you read not for further understanding.
You are not without a faith yourself; yours is in yourself and man alone. Our BSF study this week includes the Noahic prophecy, which speaks of those who forsake His calling and ridicule the faithful. Canaan, for now, is your plight! It is your choice. Canaan worked hard and created immense wealth in developing the Promised Land only to have it handed over to the Shemites with the walls tumbling down. The Canaanites continue today preparing a great bounty for the Shemites and the Japhethites. I was fortunate eventually to arrive under the seed of Seth as opposed to Cain. A Japhethite I am blessed to be with the extended territory and the Canaanites as my prophesied slaves.
I see and understand a bit of this prophecy and you are left in the dark. It is clear to those who care to hear and foolishness to those who choose to remain in darkness. You have eyes to read and ears to hear - yet your heart is hardened and you miss out on great truth through your obstinacy.
Jesus explained that those who have ears would hear. The Canaanites will not hear. Continue and reap what you sow.
I have always held that one who argues so vehemently against something of which he appears to have no interest has a major issue to resolve. You have a choice, continue gnashing your teeth or choose life as the Bible beseeches you.
God bless the lost that they be found.

I am the God of Seaweed. Fear ye not all those who take shelter in my soft leaves of weed. Repent ye brethren to the heart of Fucoidan and ye shall splendor in the House of Seaweed, where all coral find true happiness in the Lord of Algae.
I smite thee and those who rebuke my loving seaweed and take thy name of weed in vain. Repent, eaters of vile dried capsules and other unholy digestibles. Repent, for I am your Lord, your seaweed of life.
Thorp, you have proven yourself to be, in the words of the inimitable Bob Grant, a fake, phony, and a fraud. You've exposed yourself as a complete loon--why would anyone give you or your useless seaweed an ounce of credibility? What a fine opportunity to forward your "prophetic" comments to the elders at TLC (The Limu Company) and show them what kind of lunatics represent their products. Most likely, they won't mind...as long as you keep spreadin' the word and reel a few more fish in, they'll pin a few more medals on you at their next back-patting gathering, get you all hopped up on the Original Limu theme song and new DVD. Praise jesus too.
Now Bailey, I never indicated I had no interest in these matters, or else I wouldn't be wasting my time here with you in a public forum. Infact it's clear, that I have nothing to promote and no desire to convert others to any purported truth. I have no claims to uphold, no titles or stations to defend. My words are all I need to share. But the one axe I don't mind grinding is to expose the likes of nitwits like you who are so compelled--in the guise of helping others--to have people come into their camp, find the "truth"--all for their own selfish needs. Self-validation. This mindset is clearly lost on you; an idea obfuscated by the polarizing effect of right vs. wrong and good vs. evil.
Surely I would have no desire to engage with you in a private discussion. Your idiocy must be publicly shared!
The likes of you are in constant need to resolve issues where the unthinkable, "evil" forces of life (eg: sickness, death, my son turned out gay) can only be explained by being saved by jesus.
Heaven forbid, you got off your high-horse of moral superiority and judgment to be content that life--although sometimes tragic--is actually quite beautiful and a natural gift, even more if one happens to live a long and full life. (And even more so if unburdened by people hawking products and gods).
And then...what then? Is it so bad to just not exist anymore? To die like the flowers or trees or animals? Can't you hatemongers deal with that? No...you must instead round up all the people you can into your corner to defend your truth or however you fervently characterize your old testamanent-fabled insanity.
I'm not surprised you take the words of the bible literally. So tell me this Einstein...Adam and Eve begat Cain and Abel. Who were those two fucking? I guess god figured back then that incest was best, huh? and I suppose you also believe that some people lived 900 years in ancient times as the bible purports. You know Bailey, I believed in Santa Claus too, but I was six! You're in your fifties for christ's sake.
Next you'll try to tell me that you are not judgemental. You'll say something silly like only god can judge or we hate the sin not the sinner. You pretend to care by saying there's hope for everyone to come around. People tell you that you can only share the word of jesus...or seaweed...not everyone will accept the message.
Bull. Plain and simple bull. You fear and loathe people who can't embrace what you do. Instead of trying to convert lots of misguided people and boast about your numbers, try helping one person in your life who is not a family or a friend. Try that, withut pushing any product or god on her or him, without knowing what that person embraces, or even telling anyone about it. Try that pal. Hey and tell your friends in your BSF (Bestiality Shit Fuckers) group that Cain and Abel were doing their mommy.
Until then, may the God of Seaweed live long and shine his everlasting light on us all. Amen.

This has got to be the funniest thread I have come across in a long, long time.
Crabclaw at November 24, 2005 02:44 PM
Hello. This is Cletus. First of all, the management of Chin Music Press would like to say that it does not appreciate people posing as others when they post. Making anonymous posts is OK depending on the comment, but using someone else's name is not allowed.
The management — which includes the man, the woman and a couple of other people — says that in the last couple of days someone posing as an "Eric Johnson" and someone else posing as Thorp, who has posted here frequently, created a false dialogue between the two that ended in a fairly predictable outing with all sorts of explicit gay stuff that usually only gets talked about in football locker-rooms and ninth grade sleepovers. Now, management has asked me to make this explicit: We do not condone such activity and will not publish it.
Management has also offered the following tips for people who, under extreme circumstances (you know, the ticking-bomb argument and the like), must post anonymous slander:
First, be subtle. Trust that small ripples can result in large waves over time. Pretending to come out of the closet and immediately confessing to shoving objects up your rectum erodes your credibility. It's funny in a frat-boy way (ie, not funny), but it doesn't last. Your joke is done in the blink of an eye. Poof! For further reading on the subject, turn to Vladimir Nabokov's Pale Fire, with special focus on the unreliable narrator, Charles Kinbote.
Second, know your character. You guys had us all going for the first few paragraphs of Eric Johnson's message. The zealotry, the pacing of the language, the occasional typos (message is too urgent to stop for spellcheck) were all good. Also the crazy way you link the Bible and mineral supplements was well done. Kudos. You wrote:
"Seaweed is so wonderful because it fills in the gap that happened when God told adam his days would be at 120 and that was the destruction of ability to manufacture vitamin C and also the severe lowering of certain growth factors ..."
And that is good stuff. It is so over the top that we just keep reading, thinking, wow, Eric Johnson is really on the fringe here. What will he say next?
And that's where the problem lies. Suddenly, the Eric Johnson we have come to know and, in an odd way, care about becomes a ranting frat boy home on Thanksgiving vacation, using Mom and Dad's DSL Internet connection, laughing as Eric turns from a Christian health-food evangelist into a foul-mouthed thug picking a fight. Eric dissolves and all we are left with is the writer, probably a bit chunky from all those beer bongs, wearing a baseball hat, chuckling to himself at his clever turns of phrase. But don't you see, frat boy, we wanted more Eric! Trust yourself, and remember...
Tip No. 3, pacing, pacing, pacing. Listen to the following story. Woman's brother has affair. Sister steps in and gets wife to forgive him. Sister marries well, but then falls in love with another man. Sister becomes pregnant while cheating on her husband. Husband eventually says he'll forgive her, but woman can't shake her love for the other. Her life destroyed, she throws herself in front of a train.
Imagine if Leo Tolstoy had told Anna Karenina that way instead of spreading it out over 935 pages. Your rush to conclusions steals your storytelling of its power. If we were you (the Chin Music Press legal team would like to point out here that in no way is the management of Chin Music Press condoning the posting of false, slanderous messages on the Internet or anywhere else), we would have paced out this story a lot more. Drop the first few seeds over Thanksgiving vacation, but keep it subtle. Revisit the thread over your extended winter break and get a little more specific, a little less subtle. Keep up the conversation with just a couple of substantive posts a month, establishing a growing bond between the two characters, then, after finals in May or June, when you're frazzled by the successive all-nighters and the prospects of not having a job with just days left in your six-year undergrad career, stage the outing.
But even then, keep it under control. It will last longer and feel better.
And by the way, Eric or whoever you are, the Chin Music Press management would like to thank you for steering this conversation back to its intended focus: literature.
Cletus Deshita.

Hey Cletus,
You're just as bad as Thorp now, for removing posts in a thread that has been reduced to nothing more than a laughing matter. How can you or anyone else take it any more seriously than that? Allowing a completely over-the-top thread to survive here for months--on a music publishing site--could only be purely for entertainment purposes.
But now you have also exposed yourself as a fraud. You could easily kill this entire thread if you find it offensive or not in compliance to your analogy of good story-telling. But you want the hits, the web traffic, the exposure. If this was any kind of respectable forum, people would have to log-in and couldn't post as anyone else. But that's not really what you care about--you're a sellout...a google whore.
I was doing you a favor by getting that asshole Thorp to finally go away...maybe you've hired him on your marketing staff.

The so-called "snake oil," Original Limu, is now being heralded across the nation on apparently "brain-washed" ABC News and can be seen on the web at www.healthy.limupro.com . Other networks anticipated to run similar news fillers are Fox, CBS and NBC. To see the 90-second segment on the web, a person will have to register, but fear not – the registration does not put you at any risk to spam, rather only cancelable follow-up email of additional informative details.
This amazing product has just been reformulated and proven in independent trials to be the best tasting natural health beverage on the market. It is also unique in being not just another man-concocted synthetic vitamin complex, single focus (antioxidant or specific deficiency) supplement, a land-based plant extract, or a copy-cat deception of Original Limu like Scott Kennedy’s Sea Vegg or the innocuous "Limu Moui" now being represented in the Vitamin World health food stores to be an alternative to Original Limu when it is privy to none of the 15 years of research behind the non-chemical extraction process and bears less than a quarter of the seaweed content present in Original Limu. [But, what a compliment to Original Limu all these copycat deceptions are!] In the magazine, “Natural Health,” Original Limu is ranked without prejudice above the simple land-based and antioxidant-focused fruit juices of Xango and Noni. Original Limu stands alone as the ultimate supplement being a full-spectrum natural whole food nutritional beverage without peer bearing all the minerals and trace metals of the inexhaustible sea in which its seaweed source is grown, such deficiency being a major reason for the ill-health in Western cultures due to premature harvesting with artificial ripening and overworked soils replenished only with nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus.
This deficiency with its devastating effect is self-evident by the proliferation of cancer centers and dialysis clinics and others popping up even in my small region of less than 100,000 people less than 50 miles from Houston. No one is untouched with friends, family, colleagues, church members, neighbors, news makers, etc. falling to such diseases including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, autoimmune diseases like MS and lupus, COPD, cancer, unrelenting pain, depression, chronic fatigue, etc. Celebrities such as Peter Jennings, Tony Snow and Neil Cavuto stare us in the face as poster people of the diseases that stalk us all. It is as if we were in a shooting gallery simply waiting to be next. We are all hoping to find a way of dodging the bullet and now Original Limu comes on the scene to our aid with its exceptional immune-boosting properties. And, none too soon has Original Limu arrived with the Asian Bird Flu potential pandemic looming on the horizon.
Such diseases are epidemic in cultures eating the Western Diet and also partaking of pharmaceuticals in a big way. Third World cultures suffer more simply from poor hygiene or starvation but not much from diseases where fast foods and toxic pharmaceuticals are over-abundant and where people live stressed out lifestyles and endure ever-increasing pollution or otherwise toxic intrusions in the air, water, general surroundings and food. The hormones in our meats and dairy products bring the onset of puberty three to four years early and the widespread and voluminous use of antibiotics is dramatically deteriorating the immune function of people. Also, the residual pesticides and perhaps other medications applied to livestock is a source of toxic intrusion in our population.
Medication is no longer a stopgap measure to get a person over a life-threatening symptom of a disease. People are no longer responding to illnesses as a warning to take better care of themselves through a change in lifestyle and better nutrition but are instead being sentenced for their few remaining years with multiple toxic medications completely unnatural to the body and actually making the body even more jeopardized and marginalized in regards to the fight for survival.
Stock markets and economics dominate the health scene. Shelf-life and economics, not nutritional concerns, rule the distribution of food. Sugar-coated this and that, year-old apples ripened artificially, preservative-loaded processed foods, nuked and Frankenstein foods, hormone- and antibiotic-rich meats, hydrogenated this and that with its dangerous trans-fatty acids dominate the marketplace.
The evidence of the destruction from within of our Western culture is seen in the ever-escalating health insurance and medical expenses and entitlement programs. Adult diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer are not only epidemic but also reaching down and plaguing an ever-younger generation. Other evidence often ignored as to the crisis at hand is seen by the three-lane “drive-through” pharmacies backed up five and six cars each every evening. And, is there any sign of let up? No, just tune in the radio or TV and see that half the ads are pharmaceutical and health-related with even unnecessary toxic medications being pushed for social issues such as paying attention in school or at work, taking care of balding scalps, pimple eruptions, and even sexual libido! We worship at the altar of pharmaceuticals and medical science and neglect the fundamentals of life that living beings are designed to eat the natural, unadulterated foods designed for them for robust and vibrant health. Original Limu is the ultimate supplement for filling the bill!
Either move to a third world country or drink Original Limu. Our Western culture is killing us and killing everyone wherever it spreads! And, no one seems to have a clue! The ultimate supplement providing the full spectrum of nutrients to counteract the Western lifestyle is found in Original Limu. Coming from the sea, Original Limu is the only significant and readily bioavailable source, by far and away, of probably the greatest nutrient ever discovered, fucoidan, with over 600 and growing scientific studies available at the National Library of Medicine at www.pubmed.gov demonstrating anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory characteristics along with exceptional immune-boosting and skin-rejuvenating properties among other issues. The alginate material in the seaweed can also be seen at www.pubmed.gov to help remove heavy metals like lead, mercury and cadmium from the body. No land-based plant bears this amazing fucoidan nutrient.
Simply spoken, Original Limu is a full spectrum natural whole food bearing vitamins, amino acids, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, glyconutrients, minerals and trace metals and more that provides the body with the nutrients long missing in our Western diet for restoring the body so that it can protect itself and even heal itself more quickly and effectively as we all know it does as we observe a cut finger or reset broken bone heal itself. I have a vision of a healed nation with happier and more productive people and an economy set free from the restraints of a diseased population and no further worry about national debt or entitlement programs and a completely revamped and redirected pharmaceutical and health insurance industry. May we change as a nation and receive God’s blessings.

Thorp, I was begining to wonder where you ran off to. Good to have you back.
Craig at March 8, 2006 01:25 AM
Thanks, Craig. I was beginning to feel like a personal non grata. And, I was starting to take seriously Mark 6:11 regarding shaking off the dust and moving on. Then, I ran into Ezekiel 3:18,19 and I was convicted to continue!
Also, I just could not hold back any longer. There are just too many people on their knees in prayer seeking answers for me to worry about a little persecution. After all, persecution is expected, unavoidable, if one is really about His business (John 15:18-25).
Our whole country is in a desperate situation in regards to health because of our blind trust of medical science. Yes, medical science brought us the small pox and polio vaccinations and penicillin with many lives saved here on earth. Then, people started placing their absolute trust in man and his science. It became a paradigm as I have learned recently that fits the generation of my mom known as modernism. Now we live in an age known as post-modernism that has it's own shortcomings.
We need to realize that what is provided naturally on this earth is that for which we were truly designed. We certainly have survived countless centuries as a people prior to modern medicine. And, many centuries ago, in fact, the Father of Modern Day Medicine, Hypocrates, after whom the Hippocratic Oath is named that all physicians take upon embarking upon their profession, noted "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food," and "Above all, do no harm!" A new physician, if he thinks for himself, must surely be confused upon taking that oath in that most all modern day medicines are unnatural to body and poisons having routinely dangerous side effects about which pharmaceutical companies are required to report in their frenzy of advertisements on TV, radio and magazines (much like the cigarette ads, both poisons; buyer be ware!)
Original Limu is strictly a food, not even an herbal plant, and it provides a full spectrum of whole sea-based food nutrients naturally to permit the building up of the body so that it can do as it was designed - to heal itself just as we all have seen in the healing of a wound, sunburn, illness, etc. with physicians generally only assisting as in setting a broken bone or providing protection against infection. The most perfect food I know about is Original Limu providing the building blocks for the body to perform as designed, unlike the desperate situation that exists today with our far, far inadequate and toxic food supply where the incredible computer of the body has one tissue raid another of its nutrients just to survive. Eventually, this situation continues long enough to the point that the body can go on no further without dropping the ball and incurring a dreaded condition like cancer, lupus, ms, heart disease, depression, asthma, ever more frequent flu's, etc. The immune system winds up limping along unable to do the job for which it was designed.
And, here the Bird Flu pandemic is right around the corner and we have little time to get the word out. I dare not worry about a little persecution. I have to be a voice calling out of the wilderness warning others to take stock of what is happening to us with pharmacies looking more like banks with the three-lane drive-through windows stacked five and six cars deep every evening and cancer clinics in every region and dialysis clinics popping up in every shopping center. Our kids are coming down with adult diseases like diabetes and heart disease in ever increasing numbers.
And, wow, the health insurance and hospital costs are shooting out the roof to the point that companies are moving more and more towards minimizing or dropping health benefits. What a shame that the pharmaceutical industry has tied up the health care industry and no insurance is available for prevention as with the purchase of Original Limu. Why is this? After all, most dental care insurance has motivators for cleanings. All, medical insurance offers is motivators for check ups. Hidden from the public is the obvious – our foods and medicines are killing us and prevention involves not just check ups but also nutrition and, again, Original Limu is the ultimate nutritional supplement!
We had better wake up and take responsibility for our own health. Sure our doctors can be of assistance in many ways but nutrition is appearing ever more obvious to be the central issue explaining our health problems along with the ever-increasing poisoning of our bodies through pharmaceuticals and also the pollution and stress of our culture.
After studying nutritional options with significant focus for nearly a decade now and trying all sorts of different things in order to get my health restored, I have found, along with just about everyone else who has joined in with me, that Original Limu is the ultimate nutritional supplement! Hence, I cannot stand by idle and not speak up here on the Chin Music site. Bring on the persecution!

Driven by an intense fervor for their guiding light--the holy spirit--they divine the wisdom of the word, also referred to as "good comeback material."

Duh people ran immediately to Jesus and bowed before him like he was duh pope or somethin. They said lord, may we partake of da sacred weed of duh sea?"

The life expexctancy in Japan is a whoppin 4 more years than in the US. In China it is 5 years less than in the US. In North Korea it is 6 years less. In South Korea it is 2 years less than the US. Vietnam is almost 7 years less than the US.
When you compare the LE's of countries one thing really pops out. Countries with well established medical infrastructures live longer. Imagine that.
Japan and Okinawa are home to the longest lived people in the world, but France comes in at 79.4 to Japan's 81.04 even though they suck down all that cheese and don't eat a whole lot of seaweed and deep ocean fish. Italy comes in at 79.6 years. Spain is near that. Germany is 78.5...
In short Europeans and Americans are quite long lived compared to Asians on the whole. Heck Australians have an LE of 80.26 years, close to Japan's 81.04. Who hear ever consider the Australian diet one to emulate?
Diet is a factor, but access to medical care, exercise, genetics and good hygene (it's true) are MUCH bigger factors.
To hear the Sea Vegg guy tell it the American diet is so poisonous, so foul and so deadly it is amazing that Japan with its healthy all natural diet can only scrape together another 4 years of life.
You'd think American's would all live to be 120 if they ate a Japanese diet and that the Japanese would die at 41 if they ate an American diet.
They wouldn't though. There are certainly problems with overeating such as Diabetes which is quite rare in Japan, but then who do you know in the US with Bechet's Disease? Probably no one yet it is common in Japan.
Genetics play the biggest role in how long you will live followed by medical care and hygene (in order to limit exposure to food and waste borne pathogens) and then food which has less to do with how long you live and more to do with how you feel.
Ask yourself why the life expectancy in most African countries is usually under 50. Africans eat a very fresh and organic diet on the whole. What most don't get is good medical care and working infrastructure that makes good hygene possible.
Find out how old your great-grandparents and/or grandparents were when they died. Barring an accident you'll most likely die around there age.
Joseph at March 22, 2006 05:33 AM
Joseph,
Good to hear someone inject some common sense and provide real statistics. To corroborate with what you say about infrastructure, one only needs to look at the dearth of good hospital facilities in areas like Cambodia, Saigon, etc. which were neglected horribly by the Pol Pot regime.
There have also been studies which indicate if you give a person in one country, the "good" diet of a person in another, this doesn't necessarily translate to a longer life expectancy.
The Seaweed guys want us to believe we can live 900 years as the bible purports.
Genetics of course, are a key factor, but modern medicine allows the possibility of extending life where for example, a great-grandparent or grandparent may have had cancer or an aneurysm or heart failure but had no chance of medical intervention, as we do now. And once specifics of the gene code are understood, we will probably be able to steer genetic predispositions to disease in a different direction.
If it was 1960, I can tell you I probably would have been dead at age 40, but as medical technology has allowed, I am a cancer survivor now for four years at age 42. Even with no family history of cancer and a great diet, it still happened.
(And in case one might wonder...no, I am not an atheist because of my illness).

New on the news stands this month at Barnes & Noble, Borders and Books a Million is the June issue of "Your Business at Home." The publisher asked The Limu Company to allow it to feature it. The whole magazine is about The Limu Company and its extraordinary product, Original Limu, with some additional great articles about health and articles by John Maxwell, Brian Tracey, and Robert Kiyosaki. With The Limu Company in operation since its launch date just over two years, this is solid evidence of a phenomenon about to happen.
This is free advertising for The Limu Company and takes place only because of the extraordinarily valid product represented, Original Limu, that has now over 600 unsolicited scientific studies supporting the main feature of Original Limu, fucoidan, the greatest nutrient ever discovered, compared to mother’s breast milk. Those studies can be searched and studied at the database on the US National Library of Medicine website, www.pubmed.gov, by searching the word fucoidan coupled to terms of interest like inflammation, pain, infection, virus, blood, nervous, immune, dermal, liver, wounds, cardiovascular, Harvard, Hopkins, etc.
Prominent medical journals publishing studies regarding the value of fucoidan include Anticancer Research, Infection and Immunity, The British Journal of Pharmacology, Nutrition and Cancer, The Journal of Molecular Immunology, The Journal of Neuroimmulogy, Antibiotics and Chemotherapy, etc. The more public press covering Original Limu includes Biomed Business Journal, Wall Street Reporter, Natural Health, Women’s Health and Fitness, USA Today and others.
Advertisers in this month’s magazine include Dell Computers, Air Tran, Comp USA, and FedEx. A couple of sections are devoted to medical professionals confirming the value of Original Limu. Questions of the legitimacy of the product and those praising it will fade into oblivion as one reads this magazine.
Inside the magazine is also a feature article along with a dvd telling the story of the product starting 3000 years ago in the Tongan Islands in the South Pacific. The product is a complete supplement without peer with a whole range of nutrients that could come only from the inexhaustible sea, particularly the pristine pure waters off the Tongan Islands.
This product will become a household word soon as people learn about Original Limu and grow to appreciate the amazing health benefits that can come only from such a truly broad spectrum nutritional supplement. Other products are promoted widely with hype and fluff, but they are almost all land-based products without any fucodan and especially the optimized source of fucoidan in Original Limu. Most of these glitzy products promoted these days are antioxidant beverages. That is a single focus supplement that wards off the attack of free radicals and consequently does do some good, but Original Limu has its own natural antioxidants as well plus so much more. There are all kinds of gimmicky products with fancy presumably learned promoters and scientific backing, but most all are narrowly focused products that Original Limu accomplishes anyway all by itself. There is no point wasting not just money but also time in trying to maintain or restore one’s health chasing after these pretender products. Original Limu is The One, The Only and The Original!
It is a pleasure and a blessing to be able to help people with their health with such a remarkable discovery in the form of the product, Original Limu, which has 15 years of sophisticated extraction research behind it that no other company can duplicate. No other company can ever match the fullness of this natural, non-herbal food from the sea or the credible, plentiful, bioavailable and efficacious source of fucoidan.
Original Limu is indeed the ultimate supplement without peer. I have a vision of our country getting well again and becoming extraordinarily productive and entitlement programs shrinking instead of growing because of the resulting good health in our nation. I see the poisoning of our people with prescriptions heaped upon prescriptions fading away and consequently the dialysis clinics and cancer centers drying up as well. I see health care expenses receding and health insurance premiums plummeting and life spans increasing not in ill-health but in robust and vibrant health. I see our children no longer going to school with more of a focus on drugs than education and having the prognosis of life spans shorter than their parents and the ravages of adult diseases besetting them dwindle into a rare occasion. I see pharmacies turned into centers of business activity like banks and fast food establishments with three-lane drive-up windows disappearing.
I see a return to reason and the truth set forth by the Father of Modern Day Medicine, Hippocrates, who said "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food." Apparently forgotten by present day physicians is a part of the Hippocratic Oath taken by all physicians that features the warning from Hippocrates of "Above all, do no harm."
I urge people strongly to consider nutrition as a fundamental means to addressing the lingering health issues that plague them and, more importantly, for hopefully warding off such eventualities before they happen. Sure there is no panacea for anything, but nutrition is a sound concept and I see nothing that can compare to Original Limu as the food Hippocrates mentions. Life is not meant to be lived in fear and misery from ill health. Life should be enjoyed to the full with resounding health.
Go to your bookstore and get a copy of “Your Business at Home” and learn for yourself what an amazing discovery Original Limu is. There are a couple of websites of keen interest you may want to pursue as well, listed below. I love what I do and would love to hear from you.
God bless,

Hey Bailey, it must be horrifying when you look in the mirror and see a patheticly fraudulent, hype-hound, seaweed-munching deuschbag like yourself.
Do a google search for "Your business at home" +limu" and you will not find any such magazine independent of the Limu Company. These marketing geniuses spew out their own pseudo news materials and try to pass them off as legitimate news factions having an interest in reporting about the limu company. Same BS with their news spots seen on "all the major networks." Google the reporter's name and you'll find no references to him being an actual reporter.
Bailey, while you and your bible mates hump each other in jesus' name with stale seaweed that has hardened from sitting on the shelf too long, the rest of us have real jobs and can see through your bullshit.
These limu shills have nothing better to do than infiltrate every goddam craig's list site with their spam. Have you no shame--you born-again loser?

I was born a poor black child. However, after taking lima beans for four weeks, I found that my skin began to depigment and I slowly became white. I also found that I began to develop a great love of dancing, singing and .... well, little boys.
Oh wait, this is a site for LIMU... Never mind.
He he,
